Kings Injury Reports and Misc. Rumors

Now that training camp has started and the season is only mere weeks away, reports of injuries and other random rumors will start to pop up. I will attempt to keep this initial post up-to-date with injury notes as I see them; all help to gather injury news is greatly appreciated.
John Salmons (groin strain): Salmons strained a groin muscle in September while getting ready for the season. Doctors ordered him to rest, however he is still participating in training camp. The only thing that the injury seems to have prevented him to do in camp is to complete the "suicide test" (he has been excused). While it may be a good sign that he is still working out despite the injury, there should be concerns that he is not allowing the muscle to heal properly and that this may affect his play early in the season. (10/05)
Quincy Douby (ankle sprain): Douby sprained his right ankle in practice on Friday and is currently sitting out of practice. He is questionable for Tuesday's game in Portland. (10/05)

Let it heal, John! I don't want you getting hurt a month into the season because you wanted to be a training camp hero!

Didn't Bobby Jackson used to have constant problems with groin strains and the such? I say John should sit his butt down and let it heal.

Groin strains and quad tears can be very tricky to get healed up. The best course is to just rest for the prescribed amount of time and let it heal fully so that you do not end up with a more severe injury. In college I ended up missing a season because of a combo quad tear and mild groin strain that I tried to play through for camp and ended up making it bad enough that I could not run for 6 weeks.
SIT DOWN JOHN!!! We cannot afford much injury-wise right now!

Some people feel that since Gordon issue is resolved, the trade with the Bulls involving Nocioni & filler for Brad Miller may still happen.
Nothing to substantiate that it may happen, but it was put "on hold" pending Gordon's decision & was not declared as a "dead" story.

From Melody Gutierrez:
Beno Udrih (strained left hip) sat out practice and is unsure if he will play Friday.
Mikki Moore (sore left knee) sat out practice.
Kevin Martin (tendinitis, right quadriceps) practiced today and plans to play Friday.
Quincy Douby (right ankle sprain) will try to practice tomorrow, but remains questionable for Friday.
Brad Miller (strained right quadriceps) wants to play Friday, but remains questionable.

LMAO at that quote by mitch. The funniest thing to me is the fact that the word is still there.

Anyway, hopefully we can stay injury free because the last thing we need this upcoming season, is a bunch of guys getting hurt again in what is IMO a pivotal year for us.

Any news on Kevin Martin playing tonight? It looked like he hurt himself in the last game.
