Jose explodes under the lights of staples centre and goes for 41 pts, 21 assists, 3 steals, 7 3's, 5 rbds and misses only 2 shots from the floor..

Jack Nicholson gets a heart attack after seeing this and dies in Kobe's arms with his last words being, "I am sorry Kobe, but I banged your wife a couple of times while you were away for the Olympics.. But if its any consolation, she was great in bed.. I am sure u enjoy the sex if and when you end up sleeping with your own wife.. Showtime is back to LA!" ..

I love what i'm seeing from Thompson and Hawes and Beno tonight. Thompson some how looks like a future star and a Hustle guy at the same time so i'm not sure what he's actually going to become but i'm loving it tonight. Hawes is really working tonight and i love seeing the work ethic. Salmons needs to stop rushing it so much but he's looking pretty solid. Udrih is looking poised and i love it, he's watching everything his court vision appears to be much better than i at first thought.

the one thing that we aren't doing that i would like to see more of is us setting up in our system. i would really like to see how our guys are going to look playing in a more structured system. Right now i see tons of fast break which is great but it leads to alot of iso plays and i was hoping with the triangle and in general a motion offense that we would see a little bit more ball movement. I wanna see salmons make that extra pass instead of heading straight for the hoop.

Go Kings

We need to put garcia back into the game and put salmons on the bench he's taking way too many shots and he's hurting the team.

When we ran the offense in our system we looked like a veteran team, Making the extra pass and getting the ball to the shooter on the wings. We we didn't run it in sets we looked like we were scrambling.

Our offense looked a mess without Udrih in the game. However when he was in the game I got a lot of Jose Calderon type feel from him but with better scoring instincts. Either way he looks to be a good choice as our floor general.

Our defensive intensity was great overall but our execution wasn't great. Our guard defense looked really weak and our bigs had to jam the paint in order to prevent easy buckets.

Hawes- Looked very good when he played near the bucket. He scares me everytime he gets the ball near the 3pt line because it's going up without a 2nd tought. He held his own against bynum which was a great sign.

Shelden- Has great intensity and instincts but just doesn't know how to finish.

Greene- Looks like a Josh Smith/Rashard Lewis hybrid. If his shot is falling i could see great things for him. However has the potential to be an over confident chucker. It all depends on how he develops and the work that he puts in at practice.

Thompson- If this kid lives up to half of his potential i will kiss him. He looked like a star and played with fire. Not sure what position he will end up playing he was all over the court. He would bang with the bigs and post up, then shoot a 3, then slash to the hoop, attempt a shot and get his own rebound. I'm just not sure what to say, if he develops the Kings may have found the big we've been looking for since the webber and Divac days.

Fun game when the starters (or Thompson/Hawes) were in, but turned ugly when it was all youth. Which is to be expected.

Thompson was a beast tonight. His jumper wasn't falling, but he was absolutely relentless. He has an amazing motor, works hard on every posession. I really look forward to watching him develop.

Beno was spectacular. Just ran the offense wonderfully. I also noticed there were some triangle sets when the starters were in. Got us a ton of open looks, but we missed most of them. Ah well.

Hawes looked really good on defense today and he crashed the boards hard, although the Lakers are a pretty weak rebounding team. He also didn't let Bynum push him around in the post, which was strange. Either he's improved his post defense in the last week, or Bynum isn't nearly as strong as advertised. He's listed at the same weight as Oden, but Oden just steamrolled Hawes, which wasn't something Bynum could do.

I am really excited about this frontcourt. If Hawes/Thompson can play defense like they did today on a consistent basis, I have no doubts that they can make a deadly two-way tandem.

Rockets fan living in LA who loves the NBA. Saw the game on local LA channel.
I know it's just one game that I saw,but how do you expect to run an offense when Salmons was jacking up bad shots every time he touched the ball? Martin was losing his defender(Radmanavic!)w/ease and was on fire, yet he never got the ball after about 5-6 minutes since Salmons started hoisting missed 3 after missed 3. Yes he played excellent D on Kobe, but somebody has to explain that it's not his team it's Martin's. Sorry, but I'm getting cranky in my old age and when I see a player repeatedly do something stupid it really irks me.

BTW,I hated the Artest trade at the time, and still don't particularly like it. The King I wanted was Garcia, and said so before the trading season started. So take my opinions for what they're worth :)

Having your SF's go a combined 10 of 32 and going 5 for 22 from 3s as a team isn't gonna get it done, but nice to see Beno with 8 assists. Martin needs the ball more, though. Even though he only played 15 minutes, he should get at least 5-6 shots in those 15 minutes, imo. 15 shots by Salmons in 28 minutes...no thanks.

Not a Kings fan but caught a good portion of the game on the Free League Pass last night. Hawes and Thompson were very impressive. I was surprised Hawes held his own against Bynum. Thompson should easily be starting by the end of the season.

Udrih also looked very good..he's much better at setting up his teammates than I thought.

Salmons just *ugh*...he looked like a chucker. Hope as the season wears on Cisco and even Donte will see more minutes.

Guys, I'm surprised no one mentioned Beno's anklebreaker on Kobe:

BTW, are there any Photoshop masters out there? I'd greatly appreciate if anyone could make me a .gif avatar out of that, please. ;)

^^Thank you very much, I already set it to my avatar, but then I found one from better angle, no offence. Looks like Beno gained some confidence during the offseason. :)

None taken, the camera angle, And the quality and everything looks a lot better now than before....

Beno gained some confidence during

Yeah, Beno is smart, and he plays under control, he just needs to learn to split the the defense without committing too many TOs to help him make the plays that led to plays, and the sky is the limit for him, which makes you wonder what the hell was Gregg Popovich thinking?

And that may become a problem. Salmons may fit, or not fit in, the same way Ron Artest did or didn't. For John to assert himself he will most likely have to ballhog a little bit. But, there were times last season when John seemed to be fitting in really well. Right now he is probably our best slasher, his shot has looked better lately but the Carmelo Anthony style face up jumper is not his game.
