Ernie: "Did they recognize you in South Dakota?"
Charles: "Yes, they did. It was easy because I was the only black person there. When they see me walking down the street they say 'There he goes again'. And when I come back the next year they say 'He's back yawl!'"

1. Very Athletic Team That Lacks Fundamentals:
Athleticism allow them to score most of their points on fast-break dunks off turnovers, but the lack of fundamental skills—such outside shooting really hurt them.

2.They don't Compliment Each other Well:
It seems like everyone on the team can dunk, but cant hit the wide open 3 consistently.

3.The Potential to be a good defensive team:
On defense, The core of Elton Brand, Samuel Dalembert, Andre Iguodala looks very promising.

The Philadelphia 76ers lost a huge lead in their latest game, getting outscored by 13 points in the fourth quarter of their first road contest of the season.Having spent their first week on the road, the Sacramento Kings would just like to know what it feels like to have any sort of lead. The 76ers will try to rebound from their second-half collapse when they return home Monday to take on the Kings, who are looking to close their season-opening four-game trip with their first victory. After a loss in its home opener, Philadelphia (1-2) routed New York by 29 points on Friday, and carried that momentum into the first half Saturday at Atlanta.Philadelphia led by as many as 23 points midway through the second quarter against the Hawks, and had a nine-point lead with nine minutes to play. But Atlanta went on a 24-8 run to close the game, dealing the 76ers a 95-88 defeat.

My key to this game:
Score more points than the 6ers.

Yeah, defensively we have to do what everybody has to do to the sixers this year--crash the middle and make them shoot 3's, because that is a big fat glaring weakness for their team. And then when they do shoot, it has to be a 5-man effort to attack the boards.

Offensively, just try not to screw things up too much.

They don't have a physical big center, that's a plus, so, let's go Kings.

My key to the game...convince KT that he needs to go off on his old team to make a statement...then turn him lose.

If anytime would be a good time to play the Sixers, it would be now when they are still discombobulated and working Brand into their rotation.

Hawes and Thompson are going to have to be productive for us to win.

I cannot tell you the stupidity of not playing JT instead of MM. JT is a potential 20/12/3/2 block guy if he gets 40min a game. MM at 40 min a game will get you 13/3/2/0. How is that even close? I heard the nerve of Theus to go with the general rule of not starting a rookie. They used the JWill argument that he said starting didn't help his career. What are you talkng about it made JWill's career. By the way he was a knucklehead before the Kings drafted him. JT is a TD or KG type disciplined guy, starting early did not hurt his career. JWill was not disciplined guy, he was booted from his college team 2 times. They are not even on the same page. JT is a great character guy, very diciplined, will work his rear off everyday. What more do you want? Maybe Theus should start raising the bar to rookie of the year and playoff contention instead of beating the #278 best rebounder (MM) in the NBA. If he slips take away PT. Give it to Hawes or Shelden they produce. Just never to the anti-TD Mikki, as of today our MM dominated team is 1-10 including preseason.

Sixers Mod here. Nice game thread and good luck tonight. Thus far, the Sixers have played three games and all have been vastly different. We got beat by the Raptors and looked terrible. We blew the Knicks out by 29 and looked amazing. Then in our last game, we looked great in the first half against the Hawks and were up by 23 on the road but then we blew that and lost the game by 5.

I'm not sure what to expect from my squad but I am interested to see how the Kings are playing these days. Good game, gents.

By the way, the above link is to the Sixers' Forum Game Thread... feel free to swing by and chat during the game since we welcome outside opinions. That said, trolling isn't tolerated so let's keep things respectful.

Good game.

how many people think GP will trade off MM?

There's no point of having him on this team because the rookies need a vet that is going to be able to teach them the game. MM and KT are not that. Brad and Spencer make sense since they are trying to model Spencer after Divac/Miller.

Get rid of him. Shoot play KT for all i care.

We can't defend anything, and it's not just the bigs. Martin and Beno are getting passed by like they are toll bridge collectors.

Wow... The combo of Hawes and Thompson is just amazing, I don't throw that word around often but their versatility is ridiculous.

I think the Nets were hoping for a similar combination to emerge with all the big men they have but so far it hasn't happened.

If these two live up to their potential then the Kings could be set up front.

Hustle is not showing tonight this does not look like a team trying to win

At this point I think this team could be out-rebounded and out-hustled by a slug.

What do we have to do to get these guys to get some motherluvin rebounds. It's painful to see us not be able to get a simple rebound. Is it a lack of focus, energy, or what???? This team needs a serious attitude adjustment. Man up and grab some boards.
