Hey Stanley, you could be a great player if you learned just two words: I'm full."-- Barkley yelling to 300-plus-pound Houston Rockets teammate Stanley Roberts

1.Fundamentally sound team:
They're fundamentally sound team, they can shot, They have the willingness to play unselfishly and make the extra pass, and they have the tools to be good defensive team.

2.Marc Iavaroni:
I'm not sold on him, IMHO I'm not sure if hes the right man for this job, in the future he could prove me wrong, but right now I'm not sold on him.

3.Egos and Potentials:
Professional athletes have egos larger than anyone in any other profession, so if OJ and Gay reach their potentials and put their egos aside and work towards a common goal the grizzlies are going to be a perineal contenders, but that's a big if.

This is a must win for the Kings. The Kings have no reason to lose this game.

Agreed. I'd like to see some fire & passion out of the team, they should be absolutly pissed off at how the road trip went. Its not just starting off 0-4 but getting your ass handed too you in 3 out of the 4 games. I know if it was me, bodies would be hitting the floor tonight.

Memphis has a much better team than us, and I think that will mean a Memphis victory by 4-8 points.

Do we know if Cisco is returning yet? I don't know, maybe the 10,000 people that will be in Arco tonight will rejuvenate the team.

Edit: On that note, ICMTM or anybody else that is getting tickets this year: Does anybody know if the ticket prices have gone up, down or stayed the same from last year? I'm just curious if the Maloofs have come to their senses and decided to maybe stop the "raise the prices as the team gets worse" strategy.

^^I remember seeing a story (in the Bee IIRC) about how they had lowered some prices and created more package deals. Not sure how much of a difference it will make to season ticket holders, but there was at least some movement in prices.

So, for the first 4 games I sticked the game thread and we lost. I am going to not sticky this one in a hope to break the streak.

joey...

In response to your comment that the Kings have no reason to lose this game, the Grizzlies are not a bad basketball team. They have won a couple of games, one against a playoff team and have played competitive in every game that they have played thusfar.

Tonight is going to be difficult for Memphis, however. Opening night at Arco Arena is going to be a tough task for a young team to go in there and win on the road.

It should be an interesting game.

Darrell Arthur starts for us at PF. I feel sorry for you guys. Nobody should have to play their first four games on the road.

Agreed.

That is absolutely ridiculous.

It has to be encouraging just to see your Kings where the white uniforms tonight!

I really like the Grizzlies team. Conley/Mayo/Gay/Arthur/Gasol. They have great young talent IMO. They are a young dangerous team and we shouldn't underestimate them, even though, we are in no position to underestimate anyone.

IMO this will be a tough game for the Kings but then again we are in Arco Arena and I can see the Kings squeeze a win.

I haven't seen any indication that he will and the trainer is not going to let Garcia suit up before he thinks he's ready. There might be an outside shot of Garcia being available, but I doubt it.

Need some steals for my fantasy squad, think he will be back next game?

Not too much information I can find on him myself.

Wish I could give you something more, but there really has not been much news out there. Maybe something will be said during tonight's game that will give us a better idea. I've got him on my roster as well, so I'm anxious to get him back.

I know that they aren't that bad. They have a lot of talented young players. I love Marc Gasol's game. He'll be a great player in the future. I just think that it's a must win for the Kings because it's their home opener and the Grizzlies aren't an elite team. This game is definitely winnable for the Kings. Can someone provide me a direct league pass link to the Kings game? My league pass isn't working. It's stuck at 98%.

Should be a really fun game to watch. Sac's due and the Grizz have been playing better than expected - due to a drastic upturn in team D. Something's got to give.

What the hell was that band? What a dumb stunt.

Well let's hope for a decent showing tonight.
