Trade Idea [Knicks vs Kings]

So i have a feeling i am about to get mobbed by angre kings fans...and i left my flame shield at home



Now before i post the trade, some good things that will come of this for the kings

Salery relief
Space so that Thompson can get more minutes or maybe even start





Kings trade:

C: Spencer Hawes.....Oooh, i can feel the heat already
pf: Mikki Moore....This guy is just a scrub IMO, but he is starting? get him away from your team
Pf: Kenny Thomas, WHy is this guy still int he league?
Pg: Beno Udrih...Wow did you guys over pay this guy, he has looked nothing more then Mediocre...knicks will glady pay his salery for you



Knicks Trade:

Pg: Stephon Marbury ...Big expiring, right now is not playing for us because Dantoni wants to play all the y oung guys and developt for the future, he is in the best shape of his life and looked great in preseason, and he is still an all star type player.

Pf: David Lee....He is historyically a slow starter, so im not worried about is production, the knikcks didnt resign him to an extension and i think that is messing with his head a bit. he is still a double double player and a very good player, Just not a fit for our team right now.

PG: Mardy Collins....improved alot and showed off his full arsenal in preseason, we are glutted at the pg position so he doesnt get alot of time, but he has improved his jumpshot a log and is playing with alot of confidence ( i would like to keep him and remove him form this deal, but with you guys losing beno, you would need a pg back...look at his stats and he may suck, but if he had playing time...he would be a very serviceable player)

Take out Hawes and you keep Lee and I'd personally consider it. Hawes is going be a Kings fixture.

um........Hawes is the only reason i made this thread....why the **** would hte knicks want, Thomas, Moore, and Udrih? And why would you just "consider that" ?



Hawes is the missing piece to the knicks lineup IMO, guy would solve our shotblocking/defensive problems in the paint, and is not a liability on the offensive side...Lee just cannot block shots and we already know randolph cant...pair Zach with Hawes , i think we are set...



i know kings fans LOVE hawes, so i expect nothing but negative comments back...just bored.

1. It's been 6 games into the season for the Kings, the decision whether we overpaid for Beno takes much much longer than that, we just signed him.
2. We don't need the cap saving of next year, we're not threatened by luxury tax in '09.

Given that we don't agree yet on the assessment that Beno is overpaid, and the money saving on KT's last year, while nice, isn't a factor when discussing giving up Hawes, it comes down to Hawes for Lee/1st, which is a definite No.

Hawes is mainly an offensive center, he's not a defensive force, defense shouldn't be what makes you want him.

No thanks. Hawes is a fixture of this future and surpasses all need for Lee. Sides, Moore and Kenny have only two years left, that negates the 'vaule' of a Murbury EXP so basically the only thing of vaule coming over is a protected first (and the Knicks will be in the lotto so.)
