Well....not complaints about the offense so far. Really, we need to just not give Dwight so much attention. I think that's the better poison to pick.

my prediction before I turned the game on:
Howard- 26/14/3 blocks
Kings 1 game winning streak ends.

How are we not the worst team in the NBA right now?

The Thunder is definitely worse.
How did we get so bad? I know we're rebuilding but really, I didn't think it would get this bad.

No one looks like they want to be playing right now. they're all sluggin around with no intensity.

But the Thunder also have PROMISE and YOUTH with Durant, Green and Westbrook. I would trade our entire team for theirs.
Wow, the Magic almost have as many 3 pointers MADE as we do FG's MADE. PATHETIC!

Thompson, Hawes, Martin.
We have a better frontcourt which is more valuable than a PG.
Next season we will have our PG and a better frontcourt.

I would rather have Westbrook, Green and Durant + their draft picks for this year than Thompson, Hawes and Martin + our draft picks.

Let's try to keep everything in perspective. Our offense looks just fine, and while our defensive has been beyond atrocious, you also have to keep into account that most teams don't shoot lights out like this, and Orlando is on top of their game there.
Having said that, I will be very disappointed if some adjustments aren't made. Let Dwight get his to a certain extent. He may have scored 15 points in the half, but they scored 39 points on 3's. I think it's pretty clear which poison we need to pick here.

I can't see the game but I consider myself lucky though. Damn, 13 3s in one half? We are shooting 50% on FG and 3s and still be down by 19? The Kings have to pressure the perimeter...somehow.

this year we will have a top 3 pick. we have a chance at the first pick even.
next year we will probably be in the lottery again, probably top 6.
Not to mention our Hou pick and our second rounders AND FA.
2nd pick in the draft/beno
Martin/Garcia
Hou pick/Greene
Thompson/Millsap?
Hawes/Millsap?
Then you count a top 6 pick (a guess i know) in the 2010 draft and thats a group of a lot of YOUNG TALENT.
Westbrook
Durant
Green
1st pick
2010 1st round pick?
You could make an argument either way as to what team is better/has more potential but definitely can't conclude that's a better team.

Why did they let the Magic start the 3rd quarter without the Kings?

Donte Greene and Cisco tip the balance to the Kings.
As for tonights game, the Kings bench is not playing well so far. It was a 4 point differential when Beno went to the bench. Its 24 now and I'm gonna DVR the rest and do something else:)

That's true. We are playing Championship contenders IMO who are on top of their game tonight. We are a team in the middle (or beginning) of a rebuild. I feel better now...Just keep it within 20 PLEASE!

Like baseball you need starters and closers to win. Bibby was our closer, without him we get close but cannot win. With a PG who can close out games we will win more close games. Our other strength used to be our big guys, but Miller is only good as a #2 big guy not the center of the offense. The other big guys are young and make too many mistakes to win consistantly.
How we got here? Shareef killed us with his career ending injury, Bibby hurt us badly (I'm sure the Maloofs panicked a bit with his injury). The Maloofs forgot the GM they hires personnel for the Princeton offense Adelman ran but still ok'd a defensive oriented coach in Musselman and triangle offense coach Theus the last 3 years. Now they hired Coach Carril again and looks like the Maloofs are on the same page and understand to get out of the way. We don't have the money they usually have to get FA's because we are capped out. The draft will make a difference and we have enough cap space to make 1 move next year. A better coach will help next year also. We are not very far off from winning since the difference between wins and losses is very small.
