Kings look for Nuggets in Denver...
the question, though, is will they find nuggets of gold or nuggets of poop?
While the Kings continue their season of futility, there is hope that each game will help the young guys build on the future. There is also hope that each day is a day closer to a trade that will move the last vestiges of the crumbling past in exchange for pieces to the future puzzle. A "win" in the sense of scoring more points that the Nuggets may be too much to ask tonight. But maybe tonight will be a win for Thompson, Hawes and Greene (?) as they gain experience for the future.
This might be ugly tonight...but sometimes train wrecks are fun to watch.

If you are watching the Nuggets feed, they called Martin as Miller at one point. Wow.

The Nuggets' broadcast team is consistently one of the worst in the league. They make Grant seem reasonable and unbiased.

We need to play the interior more defensively. Offensively, we just plain need to play more focused.

Yeah, watching Nuggets games in the past, I concluded that their broadcast team are pretty bad for a while..

Yup. I'd argue Denver and Phoenix are the worst--well outside of Tommy Heinsohn, but Tommy is so bad that he's funny.

Re: Kings look for Nuggets in Denver...
Well....when the other team is shooting almost 60% and has shot 36 free throws at the end of the 3rd, it's pretty damn clear where the problem lies.

Would that be with our inability to defend anything? I swear this team couldn't defend against a team full of 90-year-old grandmothers.

I wonder what Spencer's shooting percentage is this year for easy shots in the post.

Re: Kings look for Nuggets in Denver...
You know, I thought Beno was playing just fine. He made a mistake on one play and then got yanked. He actually wasn't playing all that poorly.
Good to see JT get significant minutes and to see him with another solid performance. Especially like that ballhandling exhibition when he went full court! Never saw anyone keep the dribble alive with his knee on the fastbreak hahahaha!
Oh well, all is well tomorrow when the Wiz come into town. I'm sure we'll win and then Grant and Jerry can talk about how things are looking up.

Re: Kings look for Nuggets in Denver...
Does anyone else think that the King's could end up with the worst record without even trying to tank?
Right now in forth w/ LAC, OKC, Was being worse.
LAC is a much better team than us. We only have 1 more win, and they've been without their top 4 players. Imagine, Martin, Salmons, Miller, Thompson out of the King's rotation. Actually, on second thought, don't imagine that.
OKC looks to be figuring things out, and has been incredibly impressive over the last 10 games. It's no lock that they will have the worst record at all.
Washington, well, if Arenas ever comes back, they'll start winning again. But they have Butler and Jamison playing in the east, they should be able to at least pull off a few more wins than they currently have.
I guess we can tell tomorrow if we have a guaranteed top three pick or not lol
Griffin, Harden, Thabeet? not bad

Re: Kings look for Nuggets in Denver...
HA wow there have been so many people hating on thompson in the trade boards. Someone even said he is the second coming of Channing Frye. They said he will NEVER be CLOSE to Lamarcus Aldridge.
last 2 games: 18/11, 20/10 (yes yes I know it's only two games but as a rookie, Ill take that progress)
I know Sac sucks right now but seriously. We get NO respect.

Re: Kings look for Nuggets in Denver...
It doesn't really matters who has the worst record in the NBA. All of the four of the worst teams of the NBA does have some significant chance to nab that #1. Since when an actually worst team in the NBA had the #1 pick? iirc not recently. Having the worst record in the league gives you like 25% of obtaining the #1 pick, it's nice but not a guarantee though...
But obtaining either of Griffin, Harden, Thabeet, Holdiay, and etc would be nice though.

Re: Kings look for Nuggets in Denver...
Having worst record however does guarantee you a top 3 pick, opposed to the 2nd worst record and having the possibility of being bumped to 5th.
And up to what point, if any, will you say just f***k it all, we're tanking.
If this performance carries on until All-Star break? Until March? Until April? Or will you say never, and be like last year, and win games at the verrrry end.

That's what happens when guys play erratic minutes. Their gods one second, dogs the next. I hope Thompson and Hawes average 36 mpg by seasons whether we trade anybody or not. We're just about out of the playoff hunt officially. That is just plain sad, but necessary I guess.

Re: Kings look for Nuggets in Denver...
Well, in my personal opinion, I don't think tanking is the solution though. Tanking is just a bad mentality to have, especially for the young team with veterans... i.e. growing bad habits and whatnot. But for the Kings' situation, we are THAT bad, it doesn't seems like we are tanking at all. So, I wouldn't worry about it that much though.
It is better to see the team tries hard with effort/hustle and while getting their *** handed to them rather than laying down dead and absolutely getting raped night in and night out.
