Why go small ball instead of using the height advantage? Natt does not understand that we need to play to our strength, not try and match the GSW athletic run a gun style. Learn to dictate the game yourself Natt, don't base it on the team you are playing.

My vote is still for Mussleman because we got rid of Adelman for him. Natt we just got rid of a worthless coach anyways. 3 worthless coaches in a row... Cant wait to see who we get this summer.

That last play was the exact reason I disagree with Natt small ball. Garcia or 6'4 McCants the pf right now? No wonder the kings have no inside presence on defense when Hawes gets drawn outside. Come on Natt, atleast let Donte play the PF.

This team has been showing lately the kind of potential it has. We have a lot of talented offensive players for sure. I'm surprised their playing this well after such a hard game last night.

Might as well have the Maloofs do the coaching. I doubt we would lose any more games than we did this year.

The growing word in NBA coaching circles -- some seven weeks before the end of the regular season and the start of serious spinning on the league's coaching carousel -- pinpoints Sacramento as a likely landing spot for Eddie Jordan.

Makes sense, too.

The Kings, by all accounts, want a proven coach to help rebuild their stripped-down squad after Reggie Theus' short-lived leap from the collegiate game. The fact that Jordan prefers the same offensive system recently reinstalled by the Kings after the January rehiring of Princeton legend Pete Carril only adds to his appeal, as does the scoring Jordan's teams are known for, given Sacramento's well-chronicled need to lure customers back to its half-empty building.

The obstacle, as with everything else these days, is the money. It's not yet clear how much Kings co-owners Joe and Gavin Maloof will be willing to spend on a replacement for interim coach Kenny Natt.

The contracts of Theus and predecessor Eric Musselman will have been paid up by season's end. And Sacramento did slice more than $20 million in committed payroll for next season with its multiple deals before the Feb. 19 trade deadline combined with the recent salary-cap relief granted by the league because of Shareef Abdur-Rahim's injury-induced retirement in October. So spending on someone like Jordan, who was fired by the Kings in 1998 after just one full season in charge -- and before the Maloofs took over -- wouldn't be as painful now.

Yet it's also true that Jordan is bound to have other options. Add that reality to Sacramento's money issues and Jordan could quickly swing from a likely to unlikely Kings candidate, potentially prompting Sacramento to again shift the focus of its search to top NBA assistant coaches to replace Natt.

Which leads us to two more names you hear on the coaching grapevine as possible successors with Natt's departure expected at season's end: Boston defensive guru Tom Thibodeau and New York's Phil Weber, who's regarded as one of the league's top teachers with young players.

I actually like Donte at PF fulltime. He is even starting to show some low post moves. Now most of the time he finishes it with a slam off the backboard but still, the moves are good.

Let me get this straight. The Kings are on pace for a 140+ point night, are out rebounding the Ws...especially on the offensive glass, are playing with an uncharacteristic 2.5:1 assist to turnover ratio and have led for a good chunk of the game. Despite this, Natt is a "horrible coach" who is implementing a bad game plan. I kinda thought the goal of the game was to win...ie, score more points than the other team. It looks to me that Natt must be doing something right if his team, like, has the lead.

Makes too much sense. Rumors I heard were they are interested in Avery Johnson but that sounds like another Maloof move to me if it's true.

Ive heard Jordan quiet a few times now. I would prefer Avery though. Wow kings have 76 points this half so far. Wow. I still think Hawes needs the ball more though.

Defense? Warriors minus how many players just put up 67 points on us. We should be shutting them down on defense when they have no Steven Jackson/Beindrins/ Maggette is hurt/ etc. I think us winning is more GSW defense than Natt, and any knowledgeble fan would obviously agree.

Coach Natt, what's really good, can my man Donte get some minutes please, ugh!!!
