Slow Form RealGM Mock Draft

No clock here!
When the Kings board makes their call I move on to the next team. I'll wait until it seems a clear frontrunner has been determined. If that cannot be accomplished a selection will be made for you
1. Griffin
2. Rubio
3. Thabeet
And with the #4 pick Sacramento takes...?
(Feel free to dispute/defend logic)

James Harden!
and then trade him or Martin...that's the BPA
in a perfect situation, we trade up for Rubio or trade down for Jrue Holiday

Brandon Jennings

Why would you ever say Brandon Jennings at 4? I think we're going to trade either to memphis or down to raptors. If we keep it though, I think it'll be harden

Probably Harden, in order to make a 3 way trade that sends Harden to OKC, Thabeet to Memphis and Rubio to Sacramento.
Otherwise I'd say the Kings ACTUALLY select Jonny Flynn(I know I know), but that's my 'PREDICTION' if the Kings stand pat with the 'consensus top 3' off the board.
Petrie will reach(and he's usually right), and I don't think is any different from Aaron Brooks(Who Petrie ALMOST took at 10) or Jason Thompson who Petrie DID take at 12.

Or a fool. It's a fine line distinguishing between the two.

I say we trade down to 7-9 and pick Holiday, IMO.

Well i say we draft Harden but for the reason someone has already said...to trade for Rubio somehow.

Whoever we pick, may need to start from day 1. It would be important to ticket holders that a top 4 draft pick needs as many minutes as possible, especially after the type of season we had last year.

Drafting Harden might not be a bad idea, even tho we do have Martin. Could give us something to work with in trades. Either trade down from 23 to draft Flynn or Holiday, or trade Martin for someone that can help us out.

I look at it this way, James Harden = best available now. Jrue Holiday = best fit/need highest ceiling. Tyreke Evans = potential highest ceiling player. I say take your pick.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Kings did trade down if Holiday or Evans are available later in the lotto. How about the Kings helping the Wolves steal Harden out from under the Wiz? #4 (James Harden) to the Twolves for #6 (Jrue Holiday, Evans, or Curry) and #18. Would the Twolves go for that?

Trade #4 for #12 + DJ Augustin with Bobcats
And pick Terrence Williams.

Harden, just cause he is BPA, and we need as much value as we can

I don't know if I'd be all for picking Terrence Williams at 12, if that's what your saying, but if Evans or Holiday are still around I'd hella do that trade.

that's actually not a bad idea AT ALL. I would probably pull the trigger on that...but would Char? Maybe not.

gentlemen (and ladies, if there are any),
i filled in harden for you guys and subsequently evans for the wiz. apparently the minnesota board was not happy about these developments and said that since martin and harden would not work together sacramento has to take jennings instead. will that work?

Hypothetically, if this was real scenario, why would we care of the Wolves' concerns? We are going to take Harden (if we don't want him but we decided to select him due to BPA, we could always trade his rights and dump a bad contract at the same time) regardless if the Wolves' are not "happy". I don't know why but that made me smirk "Sacramento has to take Jennings instead" haha ridiculous.

So no problem. We send Harden to the Wolves and they send us Jennings and the #18. We turn around and trade the #18 and #23 to TO and they send us the #9 (correct?) and we draft BPA to fill the bench at that point.
I am not to high on Harden myself. I see him as McCants again and we already have first option on him as a proven NBA commodity that will most probably come cheap as a B/U third/scoring guard of the bench (BJax but bigger and better defensively).

I´ve said T-Will, considering Derozan out at this point. If we get Augustin, we have to look at our weakness, SF I think.
Augustin/Beno
Martin/McCants
Nocioni/DeRozan or T-Will or Earl Clark
JT/Diogu/#23
Hawes/JT/#23
Put Garcia and Greene on the block and go ahead!
(sorry for my bad english, greetings from Brazil!)
