-Sacramento has reportedly offered Detroit the #23 and #31 picks in exchange for the #15. The Kings may target DeJuan Blair at 15 if he’s available, while the Pistons like Toney Douglas and possibly DaJuan Summers.

Soon as the Detroit/Sacramento deal news broke, another comes bouncing over the mountain. Now reports from WNDE 1260 in Indianapolis say the Pacers would like to move down in the draft, and have contacted the Kings about swapping the #13 pick for the #23 and #31 in a financial move.

Seems like a great idea to me =) Maybe Derozan can drop to us at 13?

Derozen is a shotting guard right?

Whats with all this shooting guard stuff? The kings have this guy named.... hmmm... KEVIN MARTIN.

Why are pepole suggesting to draft, evans, or harden or derozen. Do you guys want to use high draft picks for bench players. Cuz obviously thats what they would be behind kevin martin.

Its point guard and small forward that we need.

Who knows if its true but if it is. who do we target? Is there a small forward thats worth trading up and paying 1st round money to.

Because thats what the kings need a point guard then a small forward.

Well basically the kings would pay more money to the 13th spot, plus not have the open of a NON GUARENTEED CONTRACT of the 31st pick so its a big amount of money difference.

So that means the kings in order to do this woul dbe paying quite a few millions bucks extra to get this pick.

The question is what small forward is paying that extra few million dollars to move up for???

That deal probably gets done tomorrow when we see who will be there for us. My guess Terrence Williams or Clark is there. And if you want to get back a later pick in the draft you can make player trades aka Garcia or Nocioni. The Lakers and a few other teams are selling their later picks Kings could leave the draft with 3 really great players instead of 1 great player and 2 good players. I like this.

First of all garcia and nocioni WILL NOT get us a 1st round pick. Trust me on that they make to much money and there really not starters...

But anyways I guess if petrie is high on clark then he does this.

But the question comes down to be is it worth 5 or 6 million dollars extra and paying clark to make this trade? If petrie thinks so then he makes the deal. If he think its NOT worth it to pay 4-6 million dollars in order to get clark then the answer is no.

From a fan point it makes sense but from a BUSINESS point it doesnt make sense financially.

Actually i think its a little less then 4 million bucks. If you trade the 31 and the 23 but still its a few million bucks extra.

LIke I said it boils down to if the kings are in love with clark at 13 to pay the extra dough

I probably would do it. But then what do you do with donte green? And Also I'm not paying out the checks.

In this draft Nocioni could get you a late round pick 26 and above. I wasn't talking about a high pick or anything of that nature. I think people forget we had a deal for Nocioni in place with Boston, but for whatever reason decided not to do it. Nocioni would be better than most the picks that are lower in the draft for a team like Cleveland who lacks versatility and bigger perimeter defenders. He does nothing for our team really.

I would LOVE to deal garcia or nocioni for ANY 1st round pick. But I just dont see anyone taking on that kind of money for a player of their calibur. I would do it for the 30th pick but I just dont see anyone taking on that amount of money for non starters. I dont consider nocioni a starter, a very bad starter or a starter on a bad team but not a legit starter for a good team.

Maybe not, but a million bucks might.

Maybe money but no way do garcia or nocioni get us a 1st round pick. I would jump for joy if they did but I know it wont happen.

I'm assuming the idea of trading Martin for an upgrade at another position never crossed your mind.

I'd personally do this in a heartbeat and then explore the option of buying one or more additional first rounders from Minny or one of the upper playoff teams that is just looking to drop the pick. By doing this and just renouncing our FA's, we can re-stock the bench with a lot more young potential talent and also have more of the available for mid-season deals involving KT or others if the season goes decently enough.

I have also thought for a while now that I would love to see Blair here as a Milsap-type third big to change things up and add some toughness punch off the bench behind JT/Hawes. Aguy like this is just what we are really missing in our back-up group.

If Indiana is legit offering pick, I don't know why it's not done. Did the Kings work out Clark?

The Indiana proposal is a no-brainer...take it before it's gone. Clark or Blair would be a great addition.
