Does this change their mind a little and push Flynn over Evans.
http://www.sacbee.com/static/weblogs/sp ... -flag.htmlMemphis guard Tyreke Evans, who is believed by many to be the leading candidate for the team's No. 4 pick in the draft that is just hours away, was the driver in a 2007 shooting in which his cousin, 18-year-old Jamar Evans, killed 19-year-old Marcus Reason from the passenger seat of the car.

Wow very interesting, changes my perception of him a little. But I dunno if this is something I'd want to be the deciding factor towards not drafting him. I mean, the police did an investigation and obviously he wasn't found guilty of this incident...

Well you can't assume people are role models.

Teams interview the players extensively before the draft...to the point where some players have commented that the teams know them better than they know themselves. I would have to assume that the Kings are well aware of this and made appropriate inquiries. If they were concerned with any of the answers, it's unlikely the Kings would be considering him.

Wow this is ridiculous. HOw did he not do jail time? That could EASILY be considered murder. Yes in the state of california the driver could be held as responsible as the killer to.
Now only if you believe he randomly shot someone and evans had no idea then it might be a little different but come on now no one buys that.
Next why do we NEED A SHOOTING GUARD we have a great one in kevin martin.
And if petrie is going to try to TURN evans into a point guard its going to be a DISASTER.

Im a joke? Come on dude. The guy was involved (yes involved) driving during a murder.
That only enhances my dislike for him, after being taken over rubio.
If we didnt have kevin martin I woudl be alright witht his since he is a shooting guard But we have him. Now we either play evans out of position or have to trade martin. And ontop of that has character flaws.

You might want to chacke your man-love for Rubio when you look at the fact that he is still playing the "i'm calling all the shots" game. I have a LOT BIGGER problem with an 18 year-old punk telling a billion-dollar business and it's franchises what they are going to do. The talk now is that his mother doesn't like cold weather and that he may not be coming over yet.
That would make that a wasted pick. Tough go for #5 overall.

How is this new? This has been COMPLETELY vetted. If he'd had any wrong doing he'd been tanked.

He didn't know that his cousin was going to shoot someone? Please. I can just see it now.
"Hey, did my car just backfire?"
"Naw, I just capped that dude on the corner."
"Man, I had NO idea you were going to do that!!!!!"
Yeah, I'm sure it went down just like that.
