Don't see Evans at the 3, and it's our deepest position anyway, no reason to try to put him there.

A little undersized to play the three...and i dont see how it would be possible for the Kings to get Ricky without giving up one of those players....unless Minnesota wants to take our first next year....but even then...theres gonna have to be more added in that scenario...

If Petrie wanted Rubio as the floor general of our team i believe he would have chosen him....its hard to judge right now how things will play out...only time will tell...

I feel Minnesota is the team that wanted Rubio the most. Four clubs passed on the dude and we were one of them. I don't think it had to do with buyouts, age, nationality, or anything. Rubio isn't coming to Sacramento ever now.

We really screwed him bad and you can tell he is an emotional kid (he is 18 so its understandable) but he won't ever wear a King's uniform

Add to that we not only already have Beno (who didn't eactly forget how to play) and have added a capable b/u in Sergio, I am DELIGHTED that we will have a HUGE backcourt and have that advantage EVERY NIGHT to be able to post up that oppositions guards.

Well other than LA/NY, I don't think alots of teams are banging at Rubio's door...I'm sure him and his agent have made alot of enemies this year. I'd rather have a player who was willing to work out, and do whatever his coaches told him to do, than a player who "mysteriously" got sick before a work out....sounds like a future Beno

I trust Petrie enough to where I don't mind the pick too much, but if we were looking for a great fit for the Princeton, Evans was not the answer. Yes, he's a scoring PG, but the completely wrong type of scoring PG for the system. If we were looking for a fit, Curry would have been the answer, and to a lesser extent, Flynn.


As for the thread, I'm not against the idea of moving Evans to SF. He would definitely be the SF of the future, so I wouldn't be concerned about having too much depth there (you can always move players around). I think he's long enough to make up for being too small for the position. The only problem is that I don't know if he would be as effective, since a big part of his effectiveness at the next level will be his ability to physically dominate other PGs.

But if we did do that, he would really be a poor fit with Rubio.

We don't owe picky ricky any favors...we passed up on him because Ty Evans is a monster

These kind of players don't come the kings way very often...

Mike Bibby's first year here the MOST effective Princeton player in Sacramento put up 14/5. We traded him for the much more hyped Jason Williams who was Beno like unclutch. In the end you have to score the game winning point somehow and I think Petrie got JWill flashbacks watching Rubio. Expect a 17/5 out of Evans and a #8 playoff spot run, who reminds me of a bigger Billups. I think Rubio will eventually be like JKidd and better than JWill but Evans was the right choice for a mentally soft team.

Rubio is overly emotional...I mean come on..you are a professional..grow up and be thankful that you have an oppurtunity to play anywhere.

Ya, no way Rubio ever comes to Sacramento now. It seemed like out of the 2-6 spots he wanted to come here the most, and we passed on him so now he's stuck in cold Minnesota with not enough money to complete his buyout.

Rubio won't be on this team. If he was, we wouldnt have traded for him yesterday. This boat has sailed my friends, time to move on.

Thank you for saying that... every1 is still in love with rubio, but im falling out of love by the way he is acting. I am the same age as him and I would jump at the chance to play for the T-wolves! He is spoiled rotten + I trust Petrie because he seen through all the hype and picked the best player available. We are getting alot tougher and I like it!

Do you guys not see that he has to PAY millions of dollars out of his OWN pockets just to play basketball at a place he didnt want to go to?
