According to Cavs insider-
Cavs worked out Sean May yesterday, but he is going to sign with the Kings.
This is a great signing IMO assuming its for no more than $2m. If he's in as good shape as he says he's in and is healthy, this is a very solid signing. He has a good post game and a nice touch, not great defensively but he put up 12 and 7 in limited minutes before he got injured. He should be a solid 3rd big for us backing up both Hawes and Thompson.

If you be really quiet you can hear center court ordering more food.
For real though there needs to be a weight and games played clause that takes the Kings off the hook for remaining years that Petrie surly gave him.
I agree it better be a minimum 1 year contract. Knowing Pete though it is full MLE for 3 yrs.

Here is May in his workout with the Bulls. He looks to be in great shape and has some definition in his arms. This could be a very underrated move by the Kings.

Um, his arms look the same since we drafted him.
I for one never thought he was that overweight, but nevertheless he can't stay on the court. Plus he has shown no committment to stop partying. Even after being benched by LB he still continued to club into the wee hours of the night.

At least, it seems like he is fit this time and added definition in general. It's much better than this though:

Hey, I like the May signing if true. I just don't understand the complete lack of interest in Diogu. Provides more fear to the existing fear that Petrie is even too willing to let CHEAP young talent go.
I think there's a legit argument for May > Diogu, but I also think there's no excuse to at least not look into re-signing Diogu. If you want to think I'm going to have some heart attack over this go ahead, May at least fits into the process of thought I figure should be #1, try to find a big with legit and untapped potential, May fits the bill IMO, if healthy that is.

Nah, if that picture is truly of May he's in better shape than I've ever seen him. Dare I say he looks pretty ripped.

I think the contract will be very very modest. As may is NO situation to really bargin for a deal. And i think he chose us because a) The money was SLIGHTLY more. b) He knows he can get a good chunk of mins. c) The deal is probably only 2 years with the second year TO. So he wants to be in a good situation where he can show case his progress to try and earn a better deal

As long as the contract is reasonable (and I probably have a greateer range of realism on REASONABLE than most here), this is a nice low-risk high-reward type of signing. If he has dropped weight AND muscled out so that he stays on the court, this is the ideal type of place for him where there is a limit to the amount of party/club scene that is available. It is quite possible that his agent encouraged him to come hear for specifically that reason - planning for the future.

maybe Sacramento's night life will settle him down. The only bars here are full of hipsters and indy kids. At least in mid town anyway.

What if the team was going to look at Ike if the May signing didn't work out? That seems like a likely circumstance to me.

Bobcat fans are saying that May is a skilled player who can shoot, score around the basket, pass and has a high IQ. They also said his struggles are basically due to his weight and knees and also questioned his work ethic. His skillset sounds like a perfect fit for the Princeton. I love the signing, its a low risk high reward move.

^To bad we aren't using the princeton anymore. I still agree its low risk high reward. How tall is he again, cause I thought he was 6'8, and that means that he can't play center, so what was the point of signing him?

Agreed. We got Brockman who is a nice scrappy spot minute backup who is 6'7. Why in the hell would we sign a 6'8 PF? Make no sense to me...I'd like to see Oberto or Skinner.
