ZERO Nationally televised games. That's sad...
This is just an observation, but if we had rubio, there would have been at least 3 nationally televised games. That's one of the consequences of drafting Evans over Rubio.

Mon 18 @ Charlotte 11:00am
Why do we have a game at 11 am on a Monday?

I think most figure we are no better than a college team, so consequently we have college playing times.

because prime time in Charlotte is reserved for chili cook-offs and monster truck rallies, both of which could be more entertaining then Kings vs bobcats.

What do you expect? We are the kings. We kissed our national tv coverage goodbye in the early 2000's
But no one cares about national coverage yet. We'd still be losing even with Rubio; the only diffence would be that this time, EVERYONE would know of us and our bad play. I much rather keep it in house

MLK Day, that's a typical tradition in the NBA to have day games on this day.

Smills, your posts usually make my eyes bleed in normal black font, this green absurdity is just putting it over the top

i could care less about the schedule to be honest, the Kings will play the same teams as they did last year, same amount of games... so why does the order matter? you have to play 41 and 41 away... i don't see the big deal

As long as I remember, the Kings are always on the road at least two out of the first three games for about 5-6 years! Heck, I think our last homegame we started out was LeBron James' debut in the NBA! That's crazy!

Why do we constantly get road trips to start? I'm starting to think the schedule has some politics to it! (gasp)

Well if this is still happening when we are actually trying to win, I'm going to start having a problem with this. It's crucial for teams to get started off on the right note and it's incredibly unfair when you have to face 3-4 opening nights on the road year after year.

Although we don't agree on much, we agree on this. Where the hell is the equity in always getting punked with opening the season with a 3 game road trip? Does the league even bother to look at past schedules and think about how they seem to blatantly screw the same teams over and over with opening road trips? Yes, some teams are going to have to open on the road. But it is not fair to have the same team constantly opening on the road.
Just another reason why Stern and his minions have lost sight of reality.
