Westphal is a little too "politically correct" for me. All his answers are VERY safe.

Beno took some shots at last year's coaching. I think he'll be a really good backup 1.

Martin's arms/shoulders looks HUGE from that vid. I wonder how much that would affect his game. Negatively? Positively?

I think May looked like a beast. Let's see if he can play like one.

Spencer said he put on weight this past offseason, but i just dont see it. He really needs to hit the weights if he plans on having any real consistency down in the painted area. Im rooting for him and our team of course, but i cant help but wonder if he will truly have that breakout year that some are hoping for.

Wow thompson is really looking bulked up. I think he will really have a good shot dealing with other PF's he's genreally faster than most Pf's now with him gaining size I think he could make a serious jump.

What if we moved Spencer to PF and Thompson to C?

Hawes is more finesse and Thompson is stronger.

That's an idea, but it ultimately it depends on who the other team is putting on them. In order for Jason to really move to center, IMO, he has to first create the matchup problem with a PF in a given game because of his size.

It might mess up his shooting (it happened with Bibby), but then again Martin depends more on getting to the basket and drawing contact, where some strength is needed. Both negatively and positively?

The key with lifting as a basketball player is to shoot regularly as you get stronger. That way you slowly adjust as your strength slowly improves. Where guys mess up is when they lift lift lift, then after a couple of weeks (maybe even a week) they go to the gym and try and shoot, they're usually off.

I think NNN got it right. Martin may very well got bigger and adjusted with his new body/arms for the summer. Knowing Martin, he did.

But if not, we all saw what happened to Bibby.

Just for the record, I said it might mess up his shooting. Like NNN said, it depends on how he trained, and also, shooting a basket is different in training/practice than it is during a game. We'll see how he adjusts, but one thing is for sure, it'll be harder to push him around :D
