to trade Andres Nocioni...

Both Casspi and Greene are sufficient and when Garcia comes back....we're fine at the three.

We need to move Nocioni for a back-up center.

My modest suggestion is:


Andres Nocioni for Nazr Mohammed + 2nd rounder.

Not to mention, Udoka we have as well.

I would trade him if the right deal comes along not just for sake of trading, because unloading his contract is not going to hurt or help our cap situation that much....

Andres Nocioni for Gadzuric + 2nd rounder.
Andres Nocioni for Przybilla + 2nd rounder.

I wouldn't be against trading him now. I'd prefer to maybe wait until Kevin or Cisco gets healthy.

But yeah, generally, trading him for a backup center makes the most sense.

I really would like Przybilla like a-rod said but i doubt that portland would do that. He is a big piece for them especially when oden is struggling and they have plenty of good wings. I think overall for us gadzuric would be the most realistic option for us. He doesn't play that much for the bucks anyways and noc would fit in. I really like that trade.

I wouldn't mind that Andres for Nazr deal, Nazr is putting up unbelievable per minute stats this year. Przybilla ain't happening. Gadz is a maybe too. I'd rather say F the need and just dump his deal. With that said, I'd still rather keep him, he plays solid and I think is just such a good fit for this team. When Garcia comes back it will be too much to bear though, someone needs to go at that point.

The Bucks are supposedly aiming for '11 cap space, so Noc for Gadz isn't likely. And yeah, Noc for Przybilla is a dream.

Mohammed may be the most likely choice. They're already kind of loaded at SF, but presumably with the Jackson trade, they plan to play him a lot at SG anyway, so I guess they may want to find someone to fulfill the Radman void, if there is such a thing. And I'd be all for that--we take a clear talent downgrade in return for a shorter deal that fills our needs.

I have a real issue with moving Noc as long as BOTH Kevin and Cisco are out. Nobody else on the team has yet proven themselves to be as consistent a 3-point shooting threat. You saw when he was out. That doesn't include the hustle aspect and toughness in his game.

I think Beno and Omri both have. Sergio has been good when catching and shooting from 3 this year. Donte, Tyreke, and Spencer are all getting there, to different degrees of course. After a horrible slump to start the season, Spencer appears to have gotten back in the swing of things, and Donte doesn't look to be quite as streaky as last year. Tyreke's percentage has been going up, and it would probably be better if we took away the attempts that were just bad shots. Udoka has been bad this year, but he has been solid in the past.

Along with all of that, Noc is anything but consistent. I mean just look at his game log this year. He's been very up and down, and his over all 3P% is only 33%.

So over all, the more I think about it, the more I think we wouldn't really be losing much. Noc is a vet, but it's not as if he really plays like one. I really think the struggle against Chicago was largely coincidental. We faced a very good defensive team, and it threw us off the rest of our game. It happens. I think that, even without Udoka, we'd be fine with Donte and Omri playing all of the SF minutes, one of them playing a chunk of SG minutes, and then having the rest of backcourt minutes split between the Beno/Sergio/Tyreke 3 guard rotation. Heck, with Donte, we don't even lose the PF minutes that Noc might get in a given night.

Don't forget that a good post defensive team gets broken down by good solid three-point shooting. Witness tonight's game as a prime example.

Yeah...but other guys hit 3's tonight--which is kind of my point. I'm certainly not saying that 3-point shooting isn't important. I'm saying that we're in good shape there even without Noc.

Do you think the Clippers would be interested in a Nocioni for Camby swap? Obviously when Griffin returns.

Doubtful IMO..I just don't think the CLips feel they're playoff caliber really. They're team is VERY disfunction. I think they'd move Kaman before Camby.

I saw him against the wizards and he was putting on a show, so i dont think the bobcats are going to trade him. that's means we are back to square one: K9, I cant believe he is our best option off the bench, you have got to appreciate the irony.

What about Kenny Thomas and Rodriguez for Caman? Would the Clips unload Caman for straight expirings?

We will have to unload one of the Beno/Martin/Garcia/Noci. Who will a team most want? We would keep Martin. Beno still doesn't have enough value. It would have to be Garcia or Noci.

Eh, they might consider either Mohammed or Chandler, just to save some dough. While Chandler has a shorter contract it's much bigger over the next 2 years, and Nocioni's declines while being smaller over an extra year. Overall the owed money is the same, it's just that Noc might fill a need there better while taking the pain out of shelling out Chandler's checks every two weeks along with 3 other centers getting paid pretty well.
