What about this trade idea for Martin?

Post#1 » by XeOnagain » Wed Dec 23, 2009 10:53 pm

I saw this on an Italian NBA forum's trade boards, so i just wanted you guys to see it too.

Kevin Martin+Hawes

for

Dalembert + Young

I don't watch their games a lot but apprently they need a scoring 2. This trade is problematic because of Dalembert, but i'd consider it.

on second thought: add Holiday into the mix and we have a deal..... Dalembert + Young + Holiday is too good turn down.

What do you guys think?

Even I don't like that one. There's nothing positive coming back in that deal. I'd rather have the Knicks pick, even if it's late lotto.

God it's hilarious to me that you think anyone who is not for trading Martin is a Martin "homer".

I've already said I'd probably trade Martin for NY pick, or Martin+ for Jefferson. Just because I pointed out how terrible this trade is doesn't make me a Martin homer.

Let's see. Martin is significantly more valuable than Thad Young. There's nothing about young that really excites me. Nice player, just nothing special. Then Hawes for Dalembert????? You kidding? We trade a 21 year old center on a rookie deal for a largely overpaid, declining veteran? No, just no way in hell that's remotely close.

I understand you're not high on Hawes but for Dally? That is a joke my friend.

A truly awful trade, no worries, God knows I've had some, but move on.

Dalembert + Young + Holiday is good IMO, but I respect your opinion NNN.

I want to trade Martin because I think we can get equal or greater value for him in areas that we are weak in. Not because I don't like the guy.
KANGZZZZZ!
