Does the Cavs beating the Lakeshow like an old rug bode well or ill for us tomorrow?

I think it's one of the extremes. I think we'll beat em down or they'll beat us pretty soundly. I don't think they'll come out 'bleh' whatever, though.

If the lakers are complaining like they were tonight and not concentrated on the game we will beat them easily. If they come out concentrating... we might be in trouble.

That's the problem though. Jackson doesn't allow them to do that twice in a row.

Yeah, frankly I'm pretty worried. I mean our chances weren't great regardless, but the Lakers are going to come in pissed tomorrow night.

Well, hopefully we will have learned some good lessons in the Cleveland game and they will be a little drained from coming off a big national game while we were able to rest.

There's no law that says a-rod has to make a game thread. He does such a good job though we just wait for him.

Yeah I could see the Lakers coming into this game with more focus and determination.

But on the flip side they might be a little fatigued since Kobe played 45 minutes, Gasol played 39 minutes, and Fisher played 36 minutes against the Cavs.

Won't be able to see the game...hoping for a good outcome, though.
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.

To be perfectly honest. i dont care if the lakers sad, glad or mad, i believe our destiny is in our own hands. If we bring the energy and play under control, if we can keep the score close we might win,the lakers bench is god awful. that's where we'll keep this game close.

+1 I'm sick of seeing my user-name in most game threads

right....i really actually hope the game is close.....i would really like to see if given the chance again....if tyreke forgets matchups and learns from the cleveland game....(we all know omri was open...or at least had a better look to close out the game)....what i think is he misunderstood lebron's comments during the game..."this is where superstars step up".....im guessing he understood lebron was telling him since he's the superstar he had to close out the game.....when in reality....what a superstar does is win the game....whether he takes the last shot, or he makes the play happen for someone else to make the last shot.....im hoping tyreke understood after the game, that was lebron playing with his head....trying to make sure that tyreke try to win the game by himself....to make his defensive assignment a little easier...it was a trap...rookie mistake...wanna see how he handles himself against the lakers.....this team is gonna redeem itself....watch how in a couple of years......karma is gonna come back to bite someone in the ass...book it...if and when sacramento wins a championship...i hope the lakers have a great team that season and we knock them off to reach the finals...i would call that poetic justice and i could then die a happy man jejeje jk....but it would be the most satisfying way for me to see the kings win...that 02 series really shook me up fellas...

I'm more worried about Gasol than Bryant going off on us. We can't defend the inside at all. I'd like to see Brockman given a shot, because sadly, he's probably our best interior defender along with KT. If I remember correctly though, Hawes did play Shaq pretty well last season. I hope he steps up tonight.

Well artest isn't playing. Let's see if we can capitalize on them being out of sync and they're coming off a loss.

That's the article on artest being out.

tonight we make it a statement game.....if we win tonight...it wont matter as much losing the second game against them....aside from the fact that i think we have denver twice also this week...and they have chauncey back and lost against the shorthanded blazers...

All I want is a close game like the Cavs. But I'm of opinon that following a dissapointing game yesterday, we could be in for a long night. Kobe was pissed yesterday, he could go for 60, lol.

Either way its a learning experience for our guys, hopefully they bring the fire.
Sometimes you just have to look yourself in the mirror and say....Tyreke Evans.
That just happened.

This is the team Petrie has built the franchise to match up against. Obviously the Lakers will be the power team for the next 4 years so you have to match them. We are a very big team now with Casspi, Donte, JT, and Hawes above 6-9. Plus Evans, Brockman, Nocioni, Thomas all have toughness that will keep us in the game.

Would we beat the Lakers in a series? No not now. But in 2 years look out.
