Is it wrong that I still feel like the victim?

Just a question. I consider myself a good NBA fan outside of a Kings fan, and I still feel like we get the short end of the stick way too much. Tonights game was just another. Jason Thompson gets no respect at all. I guarantee if he did to Gasol what Gasol did to him today, he woulda been called before the time ran out. But this is not just about that. This is over all. Do you feel like we get the short end of the stick still, or am I just being a Victim?

We did not get screwed by the refs tonight anymore than the Lakers did. Besides, immediately after that play we took a 7 point lead.

I guarantee that if Gsol did to MEwhat he did to JT on that play he would be eating his own teeth on the next play - and I would happily pay the fine!

But yeah, I understand the NBA earn your stripes BS, but it seems that no matter how good we get we still will get the stiff job because we're a small market.

Yep, each and every team in this league has been both the victim and the beneficiary of bad calls. It's part of the game.

Westphal takes the blame for this one...

After Gasol shoved him to the ground to get the game tying shot in OT. They also had the shot he was taking vs Gasol late in OT and Kobe came over and fouled him while he was shooting for a non shooting penalty.

But JT was really out of sync tonight and didn't command respect until very late. Thompson and Hawes have to get back to attacking the basket which was non existent tonight. They also had no blocks which is not acceptable for big men.

The Kings just have to use it to drive them. The NBA wants the guys who sell the most jerseys get all the breaks and best ratings. Just like boxing always let the champ win (no matter how bad they look) unless he is beaten by the challenger. Duncan used it to drive him to win title by just beating the Lakers.

The NBA will bail out Kobe and not the Kings. The only way you can win is to earn a clear victory.

i think sometimes it is possible that still happens, but then again this team needs to go through more, to command the respect of the officials.....it was the kings of old and sometimes they didn't get respect and we went through some tough games....its gonna be a while before we get full respect from the refs for the kings i'll tell you that much...

It's BS where you have to earn respect from refs. It is their job to officiate, not gage who deserves what.

I don't want to criticize Jason Thompson or Spencer Hawes this game because they had to go up against 7'0 Pau and 7'0 Bynum and 6'10 Lamar Odom.

I do want to criticize Donte Greene for looking like Al Harrington out there.

Dude, you've been cracking me up all night! Donte played some of the best defense we've seen all season (including a highlight worthy block on Kobe), shoots 50% and provided the energy we needed to stay with the Lakers the whole game, and you want to criticize him!

Yeah, Al Harrington if Al Harrington could play defense... he was the best defender on Kobe.

Wow he's 6'11 and blocked old ass 6'6 Kobe who can barely dunk anymore. Then started screaming and throwing his arms like a lunatic and throws with arms up in the air to try to get the crowd going. (like Al Harrington.) Harrington had like 40 points in the game I'm talking about and Donte played great tonight, but come on they still look silly doing that.

JT and Hawes had zero blocks, less than 10 rebounds together, must have been 8 of their weak shots blocked, no dunks, and didn't earn any respect tonight. When you play the biggest frontline you need your frontline to play big. They did vs Clevland. But they didn't tonight.

If you leave it up to the refs or God you have a 50% shot. People who are aggressive get in rewarded in the NBA more than 50-50. The Kings didn't deserve to win.

Wow... #1 - Kobe can't dunk anymore? He's getting up there, but saying he's OLD like he can't play is just plain wrong.

Second... I LOVED Donte's energy, you kidding me? He blocks one of the best players in the game, and does that? I LOVE IT! It's primal, and you can't say that wasn't out of anythingut 100% pure passion! This kid is incredably passionate! Don't start hating on a guy for showing passion.

Weak. Kobe isn't old and he throws down highlight dunks every game. I don't know what your problem is. You're just looking for every reason to discredit somebody no matter how weak the reasoning behind it is.

Yep, this is a new era

It would have been nice to win the Cavs and LA games. Remember the expectations from the past off season? Look how far the Kings have come in 29 games. The Kings are playing great.

With the recent Kings success it is easy for expectations to rise. The Kings are young and Tyreke is really young at 20.

Two issues for getting calls against the Champs:
1) The Champs are good, you have to beat them.
2) The refs favor the Champs, you have to beat them.
