Beno Udrih told reporters that he "jammed" his heel back in training camp but continued to play. The pain has been complicated by plantar fasciitis recently. "Now I'm starting to feel it on my shots too when I plant my foot," Udrih said.

That would be his Achilles tendon. That injury take a very long time to heal, I would know.

It is a very annoying injury to have. I have it currently and have had it all season. You can get the arch of your foot taped though which helps along with massaging and ice. It seems like it never goes away though. Not surprised that his play has dropped due to this injury

Not good news. But we could use more Sergio minutes.

It is NOT necessarily his achilles tendon. Calcaneus bruises are common, and it seems to be what he was complaining of by "jamming" his heel. Plantar fasciitis would effect it more as thats where the fascia runs. NoLimit is absolutely right, there are pads that can be used for the heel, and tapejobs for the plantar fasciitis, ice massages and such will treat it, but less activity on it will most likely be the best way out of it.

Is this similar to what Granger went through earlier this season? I forgot how long he was out for, but it wasn't too long.
