With the strong possibility that no big time free agent is coming here this off season, who would you like the kings to get in the draft? id say either wall, turner, favors in that order if its top 3. i say we go for best available what do you guys think?

Why Turner when we already have Evans? Wall seems all flash to me. Incredible athlete with great potential, but he doesn't seem interested in using it for anything other than looking cool. 'Tis a shame.
My vote goes for Aldridge. Rebounds and defends which is exactly what we need

If we get #1, we take Wall. No one will pass up Wall, even if you don't need him. After that, we'll probably take Cousins, Aldridge or Davis, depending on which spot we are picking.

i just think that turners a pretty special talent no doubt he would be 1st pick if it werent for wall, he just has so much potential and i was thinking trade martin, get a lottery pick, then snatch a big (aldrich, cousins, monroe) and take turner or wes johnson and get them to play the 2 because wes johnson is good moving without the ball and so is turner but hes a little ball dominant and we need someone who can come off screens and knock down open shots, and the pick we got if we trade martin will be our interior defense pick and basically looking at it from a perspective where i trust petrie to know who to pick, they could step in right away and the rebuilding curve will be close to over and we will be back, save money instead of getting free agents, where going to have to sign thompson, greene, casspi, and evans and possibly hawes all to contracts when there rookie contracts run out

It all depends on where we end up lottery wise. Alot of teams are bottle-necked within a few games of each other. We could end up with the 4th pick or the 9th. That will affect the draft tremendously.
But that said, I think we have to grab the bpa. If thats a big great, if not and it's Evan Turner who Petrie thinks can be a star, then you grab him. Evans needs a 2nd all-star caliber player next to him regardless of what position they play. Or, you draft him and use him as leverage to trade down, get a big and get another piece. Thats a good option as well.
My only hope is that these bigs do come out, and let Petrie have legit options to sort thru like he had with this years PG laden draft. I've heard Cousins might stay in school, so who knows who will stay and who won't.

thats what im saying though evans needs a great CONSISTENT (not named kevin martin) 2 guard that he can dish too and turner has the potential to be this years tyreke where he slips but ends up being the best, depending how wall turns out

depends on draft position...but I think we go big. I would be happy with any of the top 8 right now...
Wall
Turner
Favors
Cousins
Aldrich
Wes Johnson
like all these guys...any of them would be good for us.

If you don't have a great pick then you ALWAYS draft BPA.
However, if we were to somehow get the #1 (not an unheard of thing: see Portland), I would almost look to move Wall for an established young all-star big first and if that's not out there then look at moving Martin and shifting Evans to 2 making an insane backcourt.
If we end up in the 4-12 range, I take the best defensive oriented big available unless someone like Turner is there and then look to mmove him.

There are 3 guys in this draft that I really want.
Turner- Would be amazing playing SG next to Evans, His ball handling ability makes Evans life easier
Cousins- Dominant Big man can truly push people around inside and enjoys doing so.(Petrie type guy)
Aldrich- Safest pick in the draft. Good big man, solid to good defender should be decent on offense.
In that order
If we land Turner we do everything we can to move Martin on draft day for a short contract and a pick sitting around 10-15 so we can look to get a guy like Greg Monroe.
I'm ecstatic if we get any one of those guys.
we get turner and trade martin this is our team.
Evans/Udrih
Turner
Casspi/Greene
Thompson/Brockman
Hawes/Monroe
We get Cousins
Evans/Udrih
Martin
Greene/Casspi
Hawes/Thompson
Cousins/Brockman
We get Aldrich
Evans/Udrih
Martin
Greene/Casspi
Thompson/Brockman
Aldrich/Hawes
My favorite is if we can land Turner he projects as a Tmac type player but hopefully not as injury prone. If we don't then I want Cousins because it will be great to have a post player that is skilled and likes contact, we haven't ever really had that. If we get Aldrich we have a real big that likes to clog the lane and is very steady.
