Would JT and Mac in deal for Lee be good? I honestly don't care for JT anymore. Not the smartest guy in the world, though he seems to have the best chemistry with Tyreke. Also wouldn't mind Donte out. Seems to want the spot light.

I would love David Lee, but no need to drop JT or Donte. New York would probably give up Lee no problem but the hold up is whether or not Lee would agree to the trade because he has final say on trades and has to agree to any trade New York trys to pull.

David Lee is garbage

Thompson is a good defender. He's not going to stop a star player from doing their thing but he'll make you earn it. Our team defense is bad though so some nights he looks like a defensive juggernaut but then will look completely lost other nights.

If you see David Lee's defense, you'd think JT is a beast defender

Ya, I'm not sure Lee fits here with just acquiring Landry & I don't want to get rid of JT. He has struggled no question, but still has good potential. Plus he gives us more length than D.Lee

He likes to pat guards on the butt while they dunk on him.

Its improving. Once he learns not to foul as much he can be a solid defender. He had a pretty spectacular block on KG tuesday night.

But he's better than the rest of the garbage on the Knicks.

David Lee refused to come here, and it appears that the deal is final without Lee so this is lock worthy right now.

Yeah, "garbage" always makes the all-star team. Thompson probably will never make an all-star team in his entire career.

To clarify, he ex-nayed any deal because he'd lose bird rights, which could cost him a considerable amount of money over the course of his next contract. I can't say I blame him. I think he'd ex nay ANY deal, ANY where in his situation.

If I were Lee I would have done the same thing. I wonder how much money he'll be able to get next year when his contracts up.

Lee's a good player, better than I thought he'd be, but not the big man this team should be after... we already have a few guys who are talented offensively but lacking defensively in one way or another. Lee being the most talented and proven offensively, but still, the defensive short-coming is there.
Lee's best suited to play with a big center that can defend.
