Not exactly sure how much campaigning they really have to do. The general consensus I have heard from sports writers, commentators, NBA game crews is that he is basically the hands down favorite for the ROY. He would have to do a lot of negative things in the next month or so to lose it.

You forget that we are the Kings. If there's a way they can screw us, they'll do it.

I do fully expect Evans to get it, but I wouldn't be surprised if they handed it over to Jennings just because his team has more wins, or to Curry because his feet are bigger or some crap like that.

The only competition really is Jennings whose team is having a very surprisingly good year, but his numbers are bad, I think it's Tyreke's award if nothing extreme happens.

My only worry is if Curry keeps up his production and his team starts winning again. that would really hurt evans because Curry has been great recently.

It's very hard for Curry to surpass Tyreke's numbers in 20 games, add to that is team's similar record, his teams faster pace, being second fiddle to Ellis, I don't see him as a real threat.

i think the problem is that tyreke has been pretty consistent all year.... if someone like curry has a good month, obviously the attention goes there. but at the end of the day... tyreke is getting close to 20 5 5....that deserves ROY.

This is more for the fans to get involved than it is to convince anyone he should be the ROY.

You'll see the pitch:

Buy season tickets. We have the reigning ROY, a high draft pick, free parking, and the Arco Crowd.

Book it.

Tyreke is a lock for the ROY.

What?! You guys have free parking at Arco Arena?

Tyreke is a definite lock for ROY. Curry and the Warriors are dysfunctional and have inflated stats. I bet Memphis wishes they never drafted Thabeet when they could've had Tyreke on their team.

Western Conference scout on the rookie of the year race:

"[Tyreke] Evans is going to win it and [Brandon] Jennings was up there early, but [Steph] Curry is going to wind up being the best player of the three. He's the ray of hope in Golden State because he's got the shots, he's got the moves, he's marketable and he's only going to get better. And I think his teammates like playing with him. He's a great shooter, obviously, but he's unselfish. He's looking to get other guys involved.

"Evans is obviously a talent, too, but my instinct is that not everybody likes playing with him because he dominates the ball so much. He's more of a point forward than he is a point guard. ... You can argue that [Curry's] numbers are inflated playing in Golden State's system, but you could have said that about a lot of rookies over the years. Most of the top rookies are on bad teams. Rookies of the year aren't coming from the Lakers. The issue is what the Warriors are going to do with [Monta] Ellis, because it's obvious that that team needs to be built around Curry, and Curry defers too much when Ellis is in there."

False Cause fallacy. Top teams AREN"T GETTING TOP PICKS! Also they aren't playing their rookies normally because THEY HAVE A GOOD TEAM. Stupid argument.

I don't know where this bullsh is coming from, sounds like a lot of speculation BS--people talking out their ass. No surprise, it IS from espn.

It also never mentions Evans' superior defense, clutchness, consistency.

I have said nothing but good things about Curry, but some people are REALLY starting to make it difficult with all this hype bullsh.

Lets see plays on a run and gun offense. Doesnt play defense at all , sorry ass team doesnt even require it. Down by 20-30 points every other night and still play the starters to get stats. Best in the class lol  go back to your board.
