After some initial struggles, Kevin Martin appears to have found his place in the Houston Rockets’ offense in time for his first game against the team that traded him two weeks ago.

I predict a big night for Kevin and a win for the Rockets.

So if we lose tonight we may legitimately be able to blame Kevin Martin for once!

I've watched every Kings game since the Martin trade, and what I have learned so far:

1) Evans is good going to the basket, but he is terrible at setting up his teammates. Most of his assists comes from him putting a teammate in a bad situation and his teammate making a tough shot. Before I started watching Kings games I thought he just didn't have teammates to pass to, but after watching what some of the Kings can do when they catch the ball in rhythm I think a lot of it is on the ballhandler.

2) Is Landry the only King who knows what "box out" means? Those dirty looks Landry gives Hawes and Casspi were priceless, after Landry boxes out his side and a guard walks up from behind another big and takes the rebound. Landry needs to adjust to an individual rebounding mentality on the defensive end. He can't box out by himself, so he might as well just hit the defensive board the way he hits the offensive board.

3) OMG I didn't think it was possible for somebody to play dumber than Dorsey, but Hawes does the impossible. Westphal might want to tell Hawes not to play help D anymore. At least Dorsey is so ridiculously gifted physically that he can often recover from making stupid help D decisions with his huge strides and 35-foot wingspan. Watching Hawes playing help D is just painful.

Haha you pretty much have the Kings down to a science.

I disagree with your first point. He needs to improve on setting up teammates but he has done a pretty good job of setting people up pre-trade but they just wouldn't make easy shots. That probably has something to do with the current problems.

Yeah, that's like, not even close to right about Tyreke.

And our rebounders are currently injured.

Missing our best rebounder but we should be able to go inside and out, I mean Martin and Brooks on the defensive end....

As usual Spencer gets his shots destroyed by someone who he's 6 inches taller than.

He is for sure. Tyreke does look a little slow though after a tough game last night.

That was one ugly half of basketball, particularly ugly offensive basketball by both teams. Things can only get better in the second half.
