I never made a decleration of it but I thought we would win around 25 games this year. Enough to show we had improved but not so many as to think the team was out ofnthe woods yet.

I thought 22. Evans has been much better than I thought.

I said 25+

My rookie analysis was almost spot on too!

Jennings was my ROY dark horse, I believe I had Curry right behind Evans

Wasn't there a thread on this? I can't remember what I said. That leaves 82 possibilities.

I don't remember a specific number, but was thinking somewhere in the mid-20's.

I don't think I ever posted any public prediction, or really thought about it all that much. But I do know that my general assessment at the beginning of the season was that they would win a few more games than last year, would not have the worst record in the league, but would still be well out of playoff contention. I would say that the team is qualitatively pretty close to where I thought they would be.

I remember saying that we will win in the mid-high 20s (25-29) and have a distant shot at surpassing 30 wins.

But that was with the "other" team. The team lead by Kevin Martin. And I assumed that guys like Casspi, Brockman and etc will not be huge contributors this year. Plus, I thought Evans is going to be a 15/4/5 type of player this year.

My prediction was thrown out the window when guys like Martin and Garcia were out significant amount of games. Evans, Casspi and Brockman were playing at a level I never thought they achieve this early.

But it kind of works out fine though because my initial prediction of wins may be held true with this team.

I believe that I had actually been really optimistic and said 30-35, but that was based on a healthy year and good performance from Kevin and Francisco. That obviously went out the window almost right away. Tyreke and Omri were better than I had even hoped and Brock was a golden find in the second round. But they are still rookies and too many times there would be circumstances like last night where Dirk gets the vet home court BS call when the ball CLEARLY bounced off his thigh. Then Tyreke gets mugged on the other end and gets a TO for it. That is also why I tend to ignore TO and shooting percentage stats for top players their first or second year - they pretty much get screwed by the system in the NBA. It's clearly the only league where no matter how good you are, you still dson't get the same treatment as the vets. It really pretty much sucks and guarantees that they can control outcomes to their marketing strategies.
