If im not mistaken we only had 1 this season, but looking at the warriors for example which somehow is worse than the kings have actually appeared in more national televised games....
What are thier basis on teams being on national televised games? reke's historic season should at least be given more than 1 televised game, yet it seems they hype other teams players...

Re: OT: nationally televised games
We had two actually. One from NBATV (against the Warriors) and the other one on ESPN (against the Wizards).
But I agree with you. We should have more than 2 televised games just for Evans' great rookie season.

Agreed, I actually thought about this with GSW being on TNT last night.
Sometimes you just have to look yourself in the mirror and say....Tyreke Evans.
That just happened.

Re: OT: nationally televised games
The national tv schedule is set way ahead of season. The fact we got on ESPN for the Wizards game was a fluke in itself, but was ( i believe) to Tyrekes early success. I can guarantee we will have a handful more next year because of him, as well as us most likely signing a "name" if not a huge name (dont wanna get hopes up)... but we will be a much better team next year regardless... and it will be fun to watch on national tv.

Re: OT: nationally televised games
There are some perfectly understandable reasons for it. The TV schedules are set ahead of time, and no one knew for certain at that point what Tyreke would do. It is easy looking back now to say they missed the boat on that one, but it isn't like everyone knew that he would have a historic rookie year. Most pundits probably told the suits that they thought the player most ready to explode out of the gate as a rookie was Blake Griffin. They probably also looked at the previous years horrible home attendance record and the modest TV market. Based on all of that they had some legit reasons for believing that ratings wouldn't be good.
I would disagree with only one scheduled televised game even if Tyreke's rookie season hadn't turned out this good. However, if you look at things from their perspective and not that of a proud Kings fan, you can at least understand where they were coming from.

Re: OT: nationally televised games
It really irks me that we can't even get on NBA TV for the "fan night" games on Tuesday nights. Tomorrow's game against the Lakers would have been good, but no we didn't make it! Every other time the Lakers play on a Tuesday they are ALWAYS the "fan night" game.

Doesn't the NFL have a flex schedule? Why doesn't the NBA? If they do why not put an extra game or two on the tube so people can watch his historical season.

Our lack of national exposure could truly hurt Tyreke's ROY aspirations. the kings should have earned another national game with our current level of play and by the fact that we have the current leading ROY candidate.

Re: OT: nationally televised games
as i watch espn last night and saw the warriors play again in a national televised game in a span of a couple of days, i was jealous and some what dissapointed....
in that game the broadcasters where hyping and in awe of curry.. if only tyreke gets that chance to show the world how special he is, because frankly people around the world doesn't get a chance to see kings game' and might not even know how good this kid is other than the boxscore....
