This is late, but I don't think it's been discussed. Curry is ranked #1 (doesn't matter, though). The big news is Jenning's comment that both sac and GS suck. I never liked the guy because he's always talks a lot and he's a total douche (his comments and youtube video and saying college kids aren't serious so he went to Europe). But, the award goes to the best rookie and the team standings shouldn't matter (unless it's league mvp). Just because Courtney Lee played significant minutes last year and did well on the Orlando team doesn't mean he should've beaten out OJ or Rose.

Sometimes the truth hurts. I agree Brandon shouldn't get the award because the team he's on is better. I also agree that this is a very poor way for Brandon to lobby for Rookie of the Year. But I also think the truth can hurt.

Yeah, there's no denying that both teams do suck, but does he need to state that just because he's upset at his own abilities? Just becuase the teams suck doesn't take away form Curry or Evans.

Different conference and different phases in a rebuilding process.

If Tyreke or Curry were drafted by the Bucks they would be doing even better and they would win the award. If Jennings was drafted before tenth, he would be singing a different song. Jennings really should stop talking, he's only diggin his hole deeper and deeper.

I agree completely. As I said in the previous post what Jennings is saying (or more accurately how he says it) is in tremendously poor taste. I'm personally not a fan of anyone who lobbies for any award, be it a sports related one, or the Oscars, or anything. To me it always reeks of desperation.

Anyway, I do agree that for this award in particular team ranking should not be taken into account. By far most good rookies end up going to god awful teams, should we repossess Lebron's ROY award because his team sucked when he was a rookie?

Incidentally what the hell is the big deal with making the playoffs in the eastern conference? A conference where you don't even need to be .500 to make said playoffs. Essentially Brandon is saying he should be ROY because he is going to be a member of the first team to get bounced by Boston.

Bucks suck too. Sure they might make the playoffs but that is only because half the east has done nothing this season but dump salary.

Both can improve their teams more than Jennings did. Sac had half the wins of the Bucks last year. Jennings is just arrogant.

If Charles Barkley would have said we such nobody would question it.

Does Jennings lack tact...yes. Is what he's saying a mystery...no. Is why he's saying it a mystery...no. His team's success is the only thing he has to stand on for ROY. His campaign will be short lived.

its not like the bucks are that good. They have one winning streak and are now in the playoffs. You put tyreke or curry on the bucks and they are a better team than with him

Unfortunate for Jennings the success of the Bucks, especially recently, has more to do with them trading for Salmons than Jennings' play. And stats don't lie. Evans is still averaging better than 20/5/5 with 1.5 steals while Jennings is nowhere close on 3 of the 4 (and Jennings only leads assists by half an assist).

Oh well, gives more reason to watch the game Friday night.
