I dont think its likely Kris is as good a shooter as Keegan. Honestly, I dont think many expected Murray to be this good at shooting at the next level. He is averaging more 3PT made per game than at Iowa w/ better %.

I for sure thought he would be a 1.2-1.5 3PTM guy on like 35%.

I'm not too surprised by Keegan's shooting in the NBA.

Part of it is a more simplified role. At Iowa, he was the man. Had to score in the paint, rebound, block shots, shoot 3's, drive the ball to the rim, try to be a 1 man fast break, etc. On Sacramento he has a more simple role, just knock down open shots form the perimeter so he's able to just focus on that and work on it more.

Also, Sabonis is a great passing big. Fox is a good passer and draws a lot of defensive attention with his dribble penetration. SAC plays with great pace, too. So lots of open looks for Huerter, Keegan and Monk. With all those shooters, it creates good spacing.

And Keegan has had really good, consistent shooting mechanics. Shot a high % his last year at Iowa.

Kris probably won't shoot as good, but I'm confident he can at least be a league average shooter from 3.

perhaps some of both. also keegan was younger in his draft than Kris. but the skillset is extremely similar - size, length and athleticism is identical (see what i did there). keegan is probably a better pure shooter, but if you compare Kris's numbers pre injury the shooting isn't that far off.

Keegan is a better athlete. The dunks tell the story there.

It's not true, though. Keegan is clearly bigger, more physical and overall more athletic.
