His minutes have basically been cut in half the past 15 games or so.

Why? I have no idea. He jumps off when you watch him play. UNC needs to bench that bum Cadeau who Hubert loves and play this kid. It's borderline malpractice

avoid UNC like the plague if you're a top draft prospect.

Easy decision to transfer for this guy. If you want to get to the NBA, don't go to North Carolina. I don't know what's up with them, but it's just not working there. Caleb Wilson, you're next.

Maybe the biggest problem is, they still believe in seniority or paying your dues. Almost every other major program would start a 5-star freshman over a journeyman junior, but not UNC. Why showcase Jackson, when you can spam RJ Davis and Eliott Cadeau possessions? He was supposed to be a one and done. Same thing happened to Jalil Bethea.

Freshmen that aren't good shouldn't just automatically play for the sole reason that they were hyped in HS. That's not good for the team and ultimately not good for the player and his development either. And it's not like Ian Jackson didn't play. He just wasn't gifted the keys to the team as an undeserving player.

Who's to say he wouldn't have played better on a different team/different system? I might be willing to concede that Jackson just didn't live up to his hype, but there is a pattern developing at UNC, the same way the pattern for a long time was don't draft Syracuse guys, none of them can defend.
