yes, it's me, not the guy triggered by differing opinions and who is widely considered the poster with the worst takes on this entire site that needs mental help
"Differing opinions" you are claiming that Ben Saraf has managed to execute a conspiracy fooling the entire NBA (a league worth over a hundred billion dollars) to trick teams into thinking he is one inch taller than he actually is.
How did Ben Saraf pull off bribing so many different NBA officials and observers. Is that worth being able to claim he was an inch taller. How did he get away with bribing dozens to hundreds of potential witnesses. Are NBA prospects all just uniquely great at this.
What are your thoughts on 9/11.
I think guys taking these measurements, whether at the combine or practice facilities overseas with no media attention aren't above embellishing heights because they either don't care about accuracy or they outright, in some not all cases, wish to embellish for a variety of reasons (agents, players, teams, personal bias)
Do you think an auditing agency is standing there making sure they tamp down on certain hairstyles and accounting for the difference between where the ruler stops and the actual top of the skull? Or that guys don't have padding in their socks? We KNOW for a fact that players have cheated the system which necessitated them changing the rules forcing everyone to get measured so why would you suddenly accept everything you're told over your own eyes? Guys STILL do everything to gain an advantage like nerfing standing reach to gain vertical inches. You can't fathom that these dudes making $15 an hour measuring these guys with almost zero scrutiny are embellishing? Why should they care enough to be exact? Nobody is holding anyone accountable and in actuality we know they round up by 1/4 so inherently it's not accurate like you seem to believe.
Me believing this and wishing to see him standing next to someone I trust that is actually 6'6" to gauge whether I'm correct in this assumption or not is not worthy of "yOu nEeD mEnTaL hElp" hur dur. I'm not losing sleep over it and it's not altering my projections by much if at all. It's just an observation that nobody with a level head should be getting triggered over.
