Dont think its that hot of a take anymore. I think Darryn is over AJ now in more peoples boards than vice versa and I also think Nate will move up towards the draft. Not that AJ is bad, but I think he is a little worse than his hype and the others are better than people thought up until recently. And I mean, rarely is a ranking during the final year of high school stay the same as after their first year of College. And with how DP and Nate are looking, I also would be inclined to put AJ at #3 atm. People are starting to catch up to Darryn Petersons potential, but Nate I think is still a little under the radar as a potential top pick. He's also a late bloomer. Wouldnt be suprised if he ends up #1.

But either way, dont see how anyone could think this is not a great draft at the top. Dont know when we last had such a promising top 4-5 going into the College year.

I also was really high on Tounde Yessoufou after his Hoop Summit game, but I have the suspicion he might be older than his listed age. He came over from Africa for his freshman year of High School and already looked like a grown man as a freshman and apparently didnt grow since then.

This is a report from his freshman year when he was 15. Was 6'5 back then, is 6'5 now.

And no offense but this does not look like a freshman

These things by itself dont have to mean anything, but african athletes coming over as teens to play sports, who look much older than their age, who dont grow, these just ring all sorts of alarm bells to me. This kind of thing is extremely common in Football in Europe. Even in Basketball we have similiar cases in Europe, in my own country Turkey we have examples like this, of african kids who come over, fake their age for a chance at better opportunities, who then dominate the youth scene but dont really develop as advertised

Mohamed Dabone is another example. Though in his case they really exaggerated with the age faking haha

Age was the first thing I thought when I watched Yes played the first time. He’s at least 1 maybe 2 years older. His athleticism and body control are so off the charts it doesn’t really matter. Very few will catch up to him athletically. He also can shoot and hit stepback etc so him being younger doesn’t mean that much. He’s obviously already grown into his body.

Look at LeBron as a senior compared to his 2nd year in the league and there is a big jump. I think it’s a similar vibe to Yes. He’s probably 20ish.

I will be surprised if Nate doesn’t go above Boozer. He could jump AJ too but I don’t think he gets past DP. DP has DRose type athleticism. His handle and shot make him a franchise changer day one.

Ament is my fav player in the draft. I’ve read how competetive he is and how he puts in the work everyday not wanting anyone to outwork him.

The more I’ve watched these drafts the more I look for that competitive edge and mindset to be the best. So few have it.

Speaking of age faking and Turkey, one of our nigerian-turkish players Ege Demir has just committed to Oregon. Its an open secret in Turkey that he is at least 2 years older than his listed age

In an alternate universe Nikola Jovic and Nikola Topic are playing with Nikola Jokic.
