Who Fits This Description in 2008....
A SF who can consistently hit the 3 and play great perimeter defense.

Rush is the closest IMO as of now (best perimeter stand still shooter in the draft IMO).....would struggle with SG's possessing elite quickness but should be ok vs the majority thanks to his length and has the strength to deal with most 3's
Batum projects to be that guy eventually and also Alexander as he extends his range (I have been very surprised by his lateral movement/speed).....NOT Gallinari, his perimeter D vs NBA athletes will be interesting to say the least IMO

From the VERY little I have seen of Granger......I would say that Alexander is Granger but minus some degree of strength/toughness (especially at the rim) but with slightly more/better/refined ball skills and more fluidity off the bounce..........but I again say I am somewhat uncomfortable making these statements with my limited viewings of Granger
overall I feel that Alexander is pretty can't miss (being vastly underrated by some sites)......very competitive kid that will only get stronger and once he adds additional range on his jumper, watch out!

I am projecting down the road with those statements obviously
correct me if I'm wrong but Granger played all 4 in college and has been in the league a couple of yrs now.......Alexander has SPECIAL level potential

I think Greene has all the tools, but he just strikes me as one of those guys that never really 'puts it all together'. Not to say he will bust, I just envision him as somewhat as a JR Smith in the NBA. Maybe thats why I think he should stay another year or two to mature and refine his game, because as of right now I see him jumping too soon and messing up his career.

Yeah Granger did spend four years in college and has been in the NBA for a few years, but I just havent seen much out of Joe Alexander that makes me think he is going to be anything special. I think he'd be lucky to amount to a Mike Dunleavy type (not an insult--Dunleavy quietly had a really, really good season in Indiana).

He actually reminds me more of a Rudy Gay or LaMarcus Aldridge. A guy who is so talented he can coast, and will be better in the NBA when he will no longer be able to coast on just having sick talent. IMO f Greene falls past 10 he is a HUGE steal.

I'd take Bainum or Tyler Smith and have them work on their jump shot all summer. I don't think Rush is going to be a good NBA player, and Greene should stay in school. Alexander would be my third choice. I think he has a better chance than Bainum and Smith of developing good 3 point range, and he should be a decent defender.

Aside from Rush,
Josh Carter is the opposite of Rush defensively - he can stay with smaller guys pretty well, but can be muscled down low. Sort of a Quinton Ross type defensively. 42% from 3 in his career thus far.
Danny Green is a good lengthy defender who really gets into his guy's chest on the perimeter. His outside shot is coming along, jumping from 29.6% to 37.6% on 3s this year.
Dunno if either of them declare this year.
Courtney Lee projects more as a SG, but he's not much smaller than a Ross or Alando Tucker.

As a Syracuse fan, who may be biased because of frustration, I simply cannot agree.
Perhaps it is just laziness or just plain being retarted, but he wasthe worst defender I have ever seen at Syracuse closing out perometer shots from the bottom of the 2-3 zone.
He also shot 38% from the field, and 29% from threes in 19 games of Big East competition.
Calling him Tim Thomas is a compliment... his best Big East comparison is Darius Rice. Unlike Rice, he would be smart to get out know before he gets exposed, so at least he gets one contract of guaranteed money.
