How do you figure? He played the 4 pretty well in college, and could largely keep up with smaller players. Personally, I don't get why the TWolves wouldn't get him to pair with Jefferson, as they already have Foye and McCants in the backcourt.

As for the Kings pick, if Augustin was available at #12 I'd imagine they'd take him over Arthur.

I agree that Lopez can play either the 4 or the 5. I gave thought to Auggy at 12, but I just think that most teams in the league rate Arthur ahead of Auggy. Can't really go wrong either way though.

Flip flop Love with Jordan in the lottery and I think your lottery becomes a LOT more accurate.

Pistons fans would die to see Serge Ibaka available at #29. We're hoping on DeVon Hardin as it stands (or Jason Thompson, whom you had us just missing out on).
Any draft that has us landing a SF and C is a good draft, but I'd prefer us to draft a C with our first-rounder (anybody but Dorsey).

and WTF is Tyler Hansbrough?

Why has DeVon Hardin fallen into the 2nd round, anyway?
He has center size, at 6'10"-6'11". He has long arms and is a good shot-blocker. He weighs 240-250 pounds, so he's not a run-and-jump athlete merely because he's light on his feet.
He's a character guy and a good student, obtaining a 4.0 GPA in high school. That implies that he's extremely coachable, or at the very least, capable of learning most playbooks.

His stats aren't stellar, but consider that he only plays in half of the games he appears in.

I only looked at the wolves part, but I think this is a potential situation. From what I hear Mayo is the #3 guy on our board and in the second rd we will most likely take a guy that can do some immediate help (dorsey) and then a guy we can store in the d-league or euro and hope he develops (ibaka)

Good job

Unfortunately for Hardin, there are just a ton of big men in this draft. Hardin is very raw offensively and lacks upside. There are just too many bigs right now in this draft for him to be a first rounder. Now, if some of those guys eventually pull out, then he may well end up back near the bottom of the first round, but he isn't now.

Has he stated that he's staying in school? Draftexpress has him in their mock. NBAdraft.net doesn't.

Then you should have the Pistons selecting a C. They already have G Rodney Stuckey, G-F Arron Afflalo, F Amir Johnson, F-C Jason Maxiell, and C Cheikh Samb in the roster. Their weakest position is C, for SF Tayshaun Prince is the youngest starter and Samb (raw), Maxiell (undersized), Wallace (perimeter-oriented, old, soon to expire), McDyess (perimeter-oriented, old, undersized) aren't the answer.
There are 13 players capable of playing C in the 2nd round of your mock. I'd hope that Joe would take one of them with the 29th pick, or Hibbert/Thabeet/Thompson/Lopez/Ajinca if they happen to slip.

It must be frustrating for fans of every team to tell you how you grossly misinterpreted their needs, but one of the last things the Pistons need is a SG. It goes C>SF>PG>SG>PF. PF Antonio McDyess/Jason Maxiell/Amir Johnson/Walter Hermann/Jarvis Hayes> SG Richard Hamilton/Rodney Stuckey/Arron Afflalo/Juan Dixon> PG Chauncey Billups/Rodney Stuckey/Juan Dixon/Lindsey Hunter> SF Tayshaun Prince/Jarvis Hayes/Amir Johnson/Arron Afflalo/Walter Hermann> C Rasheed Wallace/Jason Maxiell/Antonio McDyess/Cheikh Samb.

I think Walker is a better prospect than any center around that pick. From what I have been told, Detroit needs both pretty much equally. I don't see them taking a lesser prospect just because he is a center. Keep in mind, Walker was a top 10 prospect not long ago, he has more upside than anyone Detroit could take here by a pretty large margin.

Why the heck not? Early in the draft is where you take BPA. The later the draft goes the more the talent evens out and the more you should draft for need instead of BPA. You take BPA with the 3rd pick, you draft for need at the 29th pick unless you have someone rated much higher than anyone else on your board.
