Always a chance but yeah Garland looks more complete out of the gate . However he is pretty weak and now injured which will slow his ability to get stronger etc. Depends on if you want the prospect with more lead guard skill presently or the one with better physical attributes higher motor higher work ethic and isn't injured.

Can’t speak about Garland, he does seem to have a good work ethic. Coby is special in terms of work ethic though. Lots of stories in NC about how much work the guy puts in. Very professional and relentless.

Yeah to Funcrushers point I really don't know, just going by hearsay etc. Never heard anyone say that about Garland but it doesn't mean he aint got it as well.
Personally I think the real sleeper pg is Andrew Nembhard

Coby White

Been watching some of him and seems like Malik Monk with defense. His handles have a long way to go before he's an NBA pg (dribbles too high, seems like he'll struggle against ball pressure), but he has the vision for it. What do you all think?

Just look at this pass:

He's been doing well as a starter all season . He's a combo guard not a pg.

I agree he's a combo guard and think he'd excel in a situation next to a big PG (Sixers, Bucks, Lakers, Mavs), but wonder if he can develop into a player that can be used in a similar role as Devin Booker or Bradley Beal (post John Wall injury).

He already has a thread. It doesn’t take too much time to flip through the thread pages.

He actually reminds me a bit of D'Lo, their college profile is similar in some ways, obviously Russell better as a scorer.

I think he'll have the same issues in the NBA as Russell without the ability to get as "hot" on the scoring end as Russell can get from time to time, hence will likely be a rotation player, but for where White will get drafted betting on that profile is a good wager in a mediocre draft.

I really like Coby White. Will be a starter right away in the NBA. He has all the right tools and the spacing will help his game a lot. I still see him as more of an off-guard and secondary handler, but he will be really effective.

I’ve been watching him recently and I actually think of him more of a two-guard. He moves really well off of the ball and can pull up from a curl with a hand in his face. Plus I think he defends twos better than ones, he’s good at chasing players around the floor, but also knows how to draw fouls against players that attack the basket.

in conference per40 so far: 26.3 / 5.6 / 8.8 / 2.5 on 48% from the field, 41% from 3 (on over 10 attempts per), 25.7 PER, and 62.3 TS%.

he's been pretty ridiculous so far.

If Fultz doesn't suddenly regain consciousness now that he is no longer sleeping in Philly, I could definitely see White being high on Orlando's radar

He found the UVA defense a bit too much to cope with at the end of the game tonight, like most on here I think he’s a 2 guard in the NBA.

more of a combo guard than a 2 IMO, which might be a good thing. combo guards now might be the most valuable commodity outside of 2-way wings. i think we're heading towards an NBA where we're going to see most teams rather have 2 combo guards in the back court versus the traditional lead and shooting guards.
