But Haynes has much, much more to like on offense and has a feel for the game at 19 years that Maledon may not ever have in his entire career. But I like Theo as a middle pick for a team wanting a low usage hustle guard who can defend 1/2 equally as well. A sort of Kris Dunn with a better jumper, but at the same time I could easily see Theo developing into a much better scorer.

What I question with Killian is his ability to play off ball. He's too ball dominant and he tends to use his size and speed to get to the rim. I just don't see a generalizational talent where you can build a team with shooters around him. He's not that talented.

However, he's my third/forth PG with RJ. He just screams Michael Carter Williams.

It's a really hard archetype though. I'm not disagreeing with you but that same archetype could yield you on the lowest end a Frank Ntilikina- MCW- but also at the higher end a SGA which you would probably gladly take. Even MCW tricked everyone into giving him ROY. That fill up the stat sheet type who aren't excellent shooters.

He's like George Hill with less defense. Should go in the 20s.

That's his floor. Theo is so much more of a floor general. Theo is also quicker moving with the ball and finding the guy. You can see it when he is on the floor

In what way does he remind you of either of these guys? Tony Parker because French?

And more, they both grew up in Seine-Maritime :)
Frank Ntilikina is a play-off player, but he goes to the Hornets.

Paris 2024 (Starters):
Ntilikina - Malédon - Hayes
Coulibaly - De Colo
TLC - Rupert or Risacher
Wembanyama- Yabusele
Embiid- Poirier - Lessort [without Embiid: Fall]

If george hill is his floor, he should be a top 7 lock.

I think Maledon should be in play for the Jazz at #23, as a guard who can play next to Mitchell both on and off the ball. His lack of defense worries me, but he's still really young and can work on it.

His floor is not George Hill.

Why is Melo and Haynes getting pushed up broads while this guy is slept on?

I have nothing to back this up but I think international players get a little bit more attention in recent years because they have sort of a unknown factor about them that apparently scouts love. Ball/Hayes/Deni are all international prospects that have teams buzzing right or wrong

I have him going to Detroit.

Simply put, for all the reasons you loved Lonzo Ball as a prospect, you should love this guy more.

He's better on offense than Hill, except for outside shooting, and he's much worse than Hill on defense.

Hes not the passer that Lamelo is, but he’s better at everything else.

Theo is a great finisher, underrated athlete, has some pretty great upside as a shooter and a decent defender(some argue the contrary but i think hes been fine and sometimes good in EL)

I have him as a top 5ish guy in this class

He's easily one of the worst defenders that's ever played in EuroLeague.

This is that 'Euroleague' troll, right?

After watching him I’ve determined that he’s pretty averse to physical contact. It really limits him driving to the basket to score. On defense he’s obviously avoiding screens when he can.

His numbers are growing and the contact issues will come through experience in the league from coaching. He's only 19 and is looking like a steal.

Maledon had 1 good game. Overall, his numbers are bad - to be expected.

How?

1) NBA scouts do not understand that there is a huge gap between euroleague and eurocup.
Ulm's project was "ok kid, make stats and we'll get 500 k€ with your draft", whereas ASVEL's project was to be legit into Euroleague.
2) Malédon was injuried a part of the year, and it was like NBA scouts think he was injury prone whereas ASVEL medical staff is really correct. ASVEL choose to preserve him for the second part of the season, but you know what happened in march ...
3) communication (or "hype"). Malédon doesn't speak so much. Hayes is french and american. That is easier to meet some attendance.

Now, why Maledon shew good things, whereas Hayes did'nt ..

Hayes had never known pressure as maledon did. When Hayes in Cholet played only Jeep Elite, Malédon had to struggle for minutes in a top eurocup team with Mantas Kalnietis and Demarcus Nelson. Then when Hayes played in Eurocup, it was in a weak team and had guarantees for minutes, while Maledon had to deal with higher pressure with Euroleague. Eurocup was easy, for him and Euroleague forgive any mistake. And actually he succeeded even if people were exepcting really much.

So actually, when Malédon arrived into NBA game, he already knew what pressure on ball handler means, instead Hayes didn't. But Hayes even he wasn't NBA ready, is still a great potential. And then he get injuried very early in the season, so he had not enough time to show that he was a legit 7th pick.

I think that when he will be back, he could really surprise you.
