Seems like it would be a great marketing strategy, they could grow chemistry overtime, get use to playing w each other.

What do you even mean by this? Drafting 5 players and starting them?

Sounds like a financial nightmare after their rookie deals are up, if by some miracle you actually hit on five rookies in one draft.

I mean unless you're OKC who the hell has 5 picks in one draft, let alone five first round picks?

The better question is why hasn't or isn't being done in college with the transfer rules or with freshmans being able to puck schools

Or that it would be percieved as a fan 5 once you got past your second pick. It's hard enough to draft one surefire stud let alone 3 spread out in the 1st round. But if we're talking about over the course of 3 yrs it's still hard but the closest I'd say we've come is OKC the 1st time around or the Golden State Warriors pre- Durant.

This is a ridiculous thread tbh but in recent years Boston has had 4 a few times if I recall. But unless you have five of the first ten picks .. you arent getting a "fab 5".

He meant wearing black socks, black Nikes, and baggy shorts. I dig that.

This is one reason why I'd like to see the draft abolished because small-market teams could clear their cap and try something like this for a quick turnaround (or at least to be immediately compelling to watch), but as Nazrmohamed alluded to there aren't many guys outside the top few who are especially likely to be more than just average NBA players and it's another level to stockpile that many top 5-10 picks compared to what OKC is doing. And of course even besides that there's the issue where NBA players are a lot more talented and competitive than you think and someone who considers themself a future all-star/max player isn't going to be that keen on being the #5 option on a team that is going to lose a ton of games in the early going.
