Question for the Trade Board: Can Evan Mobley and James Wiseman co-exist?

On the trade board, I posted something involving Wood for Wiseman, but if the Rockets drafted Mobley then could him and Wiseman co-exist in the front-court?

yea, but only b/c Mobley can play the 4 at a decent enough level, but you're not really getting the best of Mobley in that scenario...Mobley should be primarily a 5 who can slide to the 4 in some match ups, not the other way around.

I'd say you do it, play Mobley at the four to start games, stagger them at the five best you can, try to rehab Wisemans value and flip him if you can

He can play four for stretches no problem

Sure why not, DRob & Duncan did it.

Sure, but I wouldnt attempt it. Mobley is a 5 in today's game without any question really. Can he slide over to the 4 a little? Sure I dont think he will get abused out there but that isn't where I want him defensively. Offensively he's a good passer but he isn't like a Jokic kind of passer where he is like a point center. And I think his jumper has potential but its not consistent yet.

If my choices were

Dont draft Mobley because I have Wiseman
Draft Mobley and play him and Wiseman together
Draft Mobley and move Wiseman

Im going with option 3 without much hesitation.

yup, also you gotta think Mobley's development as well if u gonna put him at the 4 to start his career for who knows how long just play him next to Wiseman, just doesn't really make any sense. startin to get a little too cute there when u don't have to be.

Gasol and Bynum did too. So that's less than 20 yrs lol.

More recently, McGee/Howard and Davis. Hopefully Wiseman is the "Davis" in that relationship, but not looking good.
