Jalen will be 25 ppg by year 2. With his athleticism and scoring ability he has pretty much zero bust potential.

1. KAT
2. D. Russell
3. Jahlil Okafor (Flop)
4. Porzingis
5. Hezonja (Flop)
6. Willie Cauley-Stein (Flop)
7. Emmanuel Mudiay (Flop)
8. Stanley Johnson (Flop)
9. Frank Kaminsky (Flop)
10. Justice Winslow (Flop)
11. Myles Turner

Seven out of the top 11 failures. Just think Booker was taken 13th! Who do you think will be the draft flops of 2021?

I don't remember there being any hype for any of those players beyond KAT, DLO, Okafor and Winslow. In fact, in the decades I've been paying attention, the 2015 draft was the least hyped draft class I can remember after 2013

We get it, he's not entertaining to you. Nothing wrong with that. Just doesn't make a ton of sense to make that the basis of your scouting.

Have you ever heard of the “it” factor?

I'll go down this rabbit hole with you on two conditions.

1. I asked before and you never responded so I'll ask again. How old are you?

2. Where on your scouting report does "it factor" rank?

what's up with you asking this stupid question? Why are mods allowed to be condensing and antagonizing? If anyone needs to grow up....

The "it" factor is real. It matters quite a bit to NBA front offices. Pretending it isn't doesn't make you two cool. He absolutely has a point. Teams want butts in the seats, jerseys sold and their players on Sportscenter highlights. Since 90% of the teams have no realistic chance at championships this is how the rest make money and stay relevant.

both questions were geared towards having a better understanding of who im having the dialogue with. Mod tag or no Mod tag question would have been the same. Nothing condescending or antagonizing about it. I asked, he declined to answer both parties moved on. Never denied "IT factor" being a thing, completely understand it's value. Have been on record saying Jalen Green is easily the most marketable kid in this class back when he signed to play G-league ball just asked to understand what level of value that had to the poster compared to other things evaluators look for. Again, he answered and all parties involved moved on.

much appreciated. no problem agreeing to disagree on a topic and i'm always looking to gain perspective i might not have considered. Also nothing but respect when someone is willing to stand ground no matter what.

25 PPG is a tough ask and very high expectations. Jalen does seem like he has the potential/athleticism/swag to be a great scorer, but putting that much on a 18-19 year old is alot, considering he will be playing with grown men next year and he has to go to a team that will let him chuck away like a young Devin booker on the suns.

Well, he will be going to an absolutely terrible team unless a contender trades for him. I don’t think 25 is that big of an ask for the kid. Hell Antman almost hit 20 last year in his rookie season.
