Wemby is insanely tall, guys. He is *clearly* taller than Zach Edey in this photo. Edey is listed at 7'3" and is a big big boy. Jovic is 6'10" and Ivey is 6'4" but looks like a midget in comparison. The Ralph Sampson comp is spot on imo.

Wemby's hair is really high. That makes him look taller. Looking at the photo (and adjusting for height of hair) I'd say Wemby is maybe an inch taller than Edey.

But judging off a photo is also tricky, cause guys might be standing up straight as opposed to slouching, guys could be standing on different parts of the court, the camera angle might throw it off, etc.

But yeah, I mean if he has 7'4"...then pretty much every player 7'4" or taller has had a short, injury plagued career which is a red flag. With that being said, Yao Ming is 7'5" and is still a hall of famer. Sampson is also a hall of famer..although kind of debatable whether those 2 (especially sampson) deserve to be in..

Always look at shoulder height, thats what matters IMO. And no way I am buying that Canadian kid is 7'4, if he is, Chet is 7'1 at least.

Yao had tree trunks for legs, and he still didn't last very long.

This kid just keeps growing taller and taller it seems. Every inch he grows makes him a worse prospect, IMO. Having to play at such extreme heights in this much higher intensity, higher movement, perimeter-focused league…he's going to make guys like Yao and Porzingis look like John Stockton.

I've seen people bring up Rudy Gobert as a potential development curve body wise. I just don't see it atm as Rudy looked bigger than Victor. Bigger shoulders, arms and lower base. BUT if Victor can hit that Rudy development. omg.

Lol you are comparing a 20 years old Gobert playing with pros at Cholet to a 15 years old Wembanyama playing U16 european championship
Wembanyama at 17 years old is bigger than Gobert at the same age. Gobert wasn't even playing at that age due to growth problems, he was totally unknown. In his first high level event at 18 (Euro U18 with France) Gobert was very skinny and raw, but his frame and athleticism was promising.

What i can’t get over from the comparison picture is that Holmgren looks like a drill bit. Cracks me up.
