I'm talking more about defending at the next level. That's where I think Tyus needs more strength and quickness to compete. Of course, they said the same about Curry.

better will be a better NBA pro than Towns and WCS right?

Never said that he will be a better pro than Towns or had him higher than him.
Absolutely better than Willie, no doubt.

I'm suprised you are so high on him because I think you were low on tyler Ennis last year & they are similar players imo

the thing is, they are not, at all

While I agree that Tyus is the better prospect, I don't see this huge difference where he should be in the top 10. What is it that makes him an elite prospect to you?

To me Ennis played the role of manager when it came to running the offense. Always steady, taken what's given, etc. Jones not only has a better handle, but is far more creative when it comes to getting guys looks. Often times that's the difference between being a starter and a backup in the league.

Burke was clutch too, didn't make him a good NBA player.

I've always thought Jones was the most underrated player in this draft and somehow he still is.

Him or Kris Dunn have the potential to be the best PG in this whole draft class imo.

Russell may be a SG and Mudiay is still an unknown imo.

It's amazing that PG is the most stacked position in the L and yet there are 6 PG's at least in this draft that can start at the next level imo.

Yeah, Jones is a play-maker, and Ennis was just a smart competent college player who really is not a play-maker.

Burke is only in his what 2nd Year in the NBA, 13 ppg , 5 Asisst Average and 3 rebounds per is really not that bad for a guy that just completed his second year in the NBA. Not saying Jones is going to be a star or anything but he could be a very good Back Up/Sometime Starting PG in the NBA like DJ Augustine.

Burke is terrible, and I say this as a Michigan fan. He can't guard a chair and he's horrible inefficient. He's on of the worst PGs in the league but Utah simply doesn't have any good options at PG.

Some scouts claim Duke point guard Tyus Jones’ stock has taken a hit and that, instead of being a mid-first rounder, he could now wind up late in the first round - See more at: http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm#sthash.PalP4UcS.dpuf

Dang, imagine both Tyus Jones (27) & Jahlil Okafor (2) ending up in Los Angeles.

it would be ideal for LA. I wonder if LA can sign someone like Johnson or MIlsap to compliment Okafor.

Jones/Lin
Bryant/Clarkson
Free Agent/Young
Johnson/Randle
Okafor/Hill

Tyus Jones is a tough case. I like him, and could see him being a quality NBA point guard. But, he is so small and not a great athlete by NBA standards, so he may end up being a really good backup point guard, as apposed to a decent starting point guard.

you put too much stock in the wrong things, he is not so small, he is at least average or slightly above average in terms of size, he is not a terrific athlete, but he is solid with a good level of strength and agility.
the most important thing is his brain, he is the best PG in terms of reading and attacking, been efficient and smart I've seen since probably Paul or Conley.

I love his basketball IQ and style of play, it's why I want to rate him high. But, then I look at all the great point guards in the NBA currently, and every single one of them is either taller or more athletic than Jones is. He's a bit of a poor man's Chris Paul, the question is how poor? I'm torn, I think he is a really smart kid who runs a team well, but he just might not have it athletically to be an above average starter. There is a glut of great NBA point guards who run faster and jump higher than Jones, who isn't a great shooter or defender, which is often the best way to counter not being a great athlete.

There's no way he doesn't go to the Rockets. They apparently love him and he fits perfectly there.

He's a backup PG. Nobody is picking him in the top 20. He'll get picked up by the Bulls. They either pick an upper class man or a Duke player whenever available.

Tyus Jones is a decent player. Probably 10-20 range.
People may like Mudiay but dude cant shoot. 50%FT 30%3pt. Sounds like Tyreke Evans
Jones will never be picked as high as Mudiay cuz people lose jobs when they get enamored with uber athleticism. jones is small but he is smart, almost 90%FT and shoots with range. Any team can win with that

Yeah, he's another Tyler Ennis.
