Re: donte divincenzo
When a game or 2 really does matter: when a player is MVP of the final 4 AND the championship game. And he played some PG. He's listed at 6'5 while Bridges is listed at 6'7. But when watching them together, does Bridges look 2 inches taller than Donte? I don't think so.

LOL the same top 10 where you have Mursa and Troy Brown? Your top 10 is getting pretty crowded.
I love all the johnny come lately's who ony watch the tournament and then come on here proclaiming things left and right about prospects. If you watched the Big East tournament you would've been wondering why Donte was even in the rotation, let alone if he was going to be drafted. He couldn't hit a shot 3 weeks ago. 7/24 from the field including 2/11 in the championship. Good thing for Nova he woke up and got out of his slump, but that's how Nova was all year. Usually Brunson carried the mail, but just about every night a different guy would step up and have a huge night. Last night it was Donte, the game before it was Pachal.
There is a very good chance Musa gets drafted 10th or so. No chance he slides past the lottery. He's a generational offensive talent, and his defense is underrated.
I'm certain Musa will go 9-10, IMHO. Forget what the mock drafts say. These scouts have been watching him since he was 14 years old, they know what's up

What makes Collin Sexton such a better prospect?

LOL, I don't like Sexton either but atleast Sexton put up really good and consistent numbers as a freshman. This guy has been around college for like 4 years and this is the best he can do? He had a good game.

Three years, actually, and why do people keep saying "one game"? DiVincenzo has been a beast all season.

Didn't he redshirt one year? Whats a beast? His production has been far from beastly IMO.

His production is right up there with a guy like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who's projected to go in the lotto. What's the issue again?

That he plays for the Spurs of college basketball and being hyped for him is like thinking Kyle Anderson is a borderline all-star because he performs his role capably for the NBA Spurs.

Divencenzo will have his chance next year to prove whether he is a legit NBA prospect or not. It was only a few years ago Grayson Allen came out of nowhere and went nuts in a title game, and people over-hyped him like crazy too.

I don't like Shai-Alexander as a lottery pick either. This is a big man draft PF/C's with the exception of Trae Young.

wat
David West averages 18-9-5-1.7-2.7 per 36. Would he keep up that production if he were playing 36 minutes a night for a lottery team? DiVicenzo plays on a team with a major coaching/talent/scheme advantage is not asked to do nearly as much as he would be for a lottery team.
Upperclass wrote:From highlights he seems to be every bit the prospect Jamal Murray was and is probably more vertically athletic and a better passer.
He is older (as in born on an earlier date, not just older upon making his NBA debut) than Jamal Murray. You expect him to come into the league averaging 18 a game or something?

He is a role player on a stacked team like DiVicenzo. It's really not that complicated; you asked what was the issue with comparing his production to that of a player on a worse team playing a worse style of basketball and I answered. I could also have answered that there's a huge difference between producing as a 19-year-old and as a 21-year-old but figured that was so obvious it didn't bear mentioning. If you're really this dense, how did you manage to survive to this point without electrocuting yourself in the bathtub or something?

Why are you acting like the guy plays 10 minutes a game? The dude is at 30 minutes a game. He plays starters minutes. He just comes off the bench because they already have Jalen Brunson and Mikal Bridges in the back court.

Because he plays most of those 30 minutes guarded by the other team's 3rd-best perimeter defender and never having to guard the other team's best offensive player.

Wtf? No he doesn't.
Unless you think other teams are trotting out their bench players 30 minutes a game?

No, the other team's 1st and 2nd best perimeter defenders are guarding Bridges and Brunson.

Don't see the Lin comp at all... Lin is a very good ball handler, he's a legitimate PG. Meanwhile, DiVincenzo has limitations with his ball handling. He's a good ball handling SG, but not a PG.
