Would depend on the Dallas pick. Among the teams that are slotted earlier than Chicago, Dallas seems to have the highest chances of drafting a big man, IMO.
Though in contrary, I think Wendell Carter needs to come back to earth. I don't see him keeping his draft stock that high.
Offensively Carter is really good, it’s just defense. What he has over other bigs is his speed. He could run the floor quickly and is super fast rolling to the rim. And he could pretty much do everything offensive. I would not be surprised if he’s the Tatum of this draft and I’ve said it before. He could be a better NBA player than college. He has all the skills NBA teams love, it’s just that his defense is really bad.

Define Really good with his 13.5 points per game being in Duke with Towers on offense often creating mismatches for poor Uni teams. I personally think he has been ok nothing special

Would be really upset if we drafted Miles Bridges. He its, I like the idea of a 2 way, athletic 3/4 that can fit next to Markkanen whether he's playing the 4 or the 5, just don't think he as a player deserves to go as high as 7. I see him more as a 4th-6th best player on a winning team.

I think he's the latest version of Draymond. Probably not the same intangibles, but just a more athletic, perimeter oriented version of him in a good way.
I would look to trade down with LA personally.

Re: NBA Draft 2018 II
I have Elie Okobo as the 2nd best guard prospect after Doncic. He is putting up a nice 20/7/4 per 40 minutes for his French Pro A team, seems to be a very good off the dribble shooter, age is solid at having turned 20 in October.

What do you guys think of Anfernee Simons? Saw that OKC had expressed interest in him.
I know that he is pretty much straight out of high school, but how does he look as a guard prospect?

In comparison with Jontay Porter, is he any quicker than him? I think Jontay is quicker of the two and probably has a better offensive skill set. I just can't see a huge gap in between them.

He's still a kid and will need some time to get his body ready for the NBA. I think nbadraft's comparison of him with Joseph Young is kind of close, though Simons is more of a SG than a PG. Though coming off college / highschool, Simons has a better boom potential.
OKC will need to work it's magic to get into the first round.

I only trust Wendell Carter and JJJ to be a plus decision maker in the NBA of the lottery bigs. Don't trust the other guys to be effective O players withouth good decision making. Not that talented on O. We saw how Embiid was ineffective because of lack of intelligence.

Re: NBA Draft 2018 II
Do I trust Kyler? Hard to see Knox going top 10, teams would be dumb to pick him that high.
Bulls have been noted as high on Bagley in the past. Is it going to be worth us giving up notable assets to move from MPJ/Carter/Trae/Mikal to Bagley? I'm not sure it's worth the jump.

Kyler is really a shot in the dark. But doing mocks, I have a hard time keeping Knox out of my top 10. He has great size, runs and potentially shoots threes. In terms of what teams want and in terms of how valuable wing/forwards are it’s hard to see it not happening. Especially with the game trending to a fast-break style game.

I personally think Travis would be a fool to move down from #3/Bagley. That said, it doesn't make sense not to listen to offers. I would if I had #1 or #60. Kyler is right about Senlenk's willingness to listen. He's said that about three times as recently as this morning.
I've heard from different circles that Bagley is the top guy for some in the organization while some aren't as high on him. Senlenk is one of them who isn't as high. The owner, some top scouts, some top executives are extremely high on Bagley. It will be interesting. I have been saying this for months. For us, workouts will be king. That will decide it all for us. But if he moves that pick and Bagley is a superstar and we draft a dud, he will be fired within 3 years. He knows that too.
They want Bagley. Many of our scouts and execs want Bagley. He's like Magic last year, where Magic was somewhat reluctant on Ball while Lakers management was extremely high on him till Magic came around and loves him. He has this image of how he wants to build the Hawks like the Warriors. I hope this doesn't become Sacremento 2.0. You should get a cornerstone and build around him. Not try to find the next Steph. Then try to find the next Klay. It doesn't work like that. That how you end up looking like Sacremento.

Re: NBA Draft 2018 II
Two rumors: Landry Shamet is going to have impressive athletic numbers and Donte DiVicenzo could have a really good wingspan
Two more: Kevin Knox and Zhaire Smith are jumping up the board. Both could end up late lottery picks.
Note from myself: It seems teams are going all-in on wings. Don’t be surprised if bigs fall or aren’t drafted.

DiVincenzo is a top 14 prospect and I've been saying this for a while. More teams I think will realize it during this process.

If his wingspan checks out and he could be taken really high

Re: NBA Draft 2018 II
Bagley is a boom or bust (role player) pick. He'll make a GM look like a idiot or genius
I maintain that Ayton has little upside due to low basketball awareness and IQ in general.
