Ben Gordon in his prime but 6-5/6-6. And BG was one helluva player for a while with the Bulls. What strikes me about Peterson is he is unusually crisp and sudden in his movements, like an NBA veteran who spent years crafting his skill... its a scary trio of being long limbed, fast and having no wasted movement.

His movement reminds me a lot of Gordon too, but much more skilled. I do think I am starting to lean Dybantsa, but it is amazing how little space Peterson needs to score, just absolutely nothing.

he's a PG version of Kawhi imho. Should be #1. He'll feast in the wide open NBA. I think he's the type who could win MVP and DPOY in the same season like MJ if everything goes right

If Wemby stays fit (big IF) no other player is touching DPOY for the next decade.

Peterson is better than AJ and by a pretty clear margin. That said, no one wants to pass on a T Mac level talent with the right mindset and drive plus will. That's a multi time champion. That said, Peterson is just ridiculous. I agree with ya'll. He's a lot like Ben Gordon but at 6'6. It's insane how good he is at basketball. He's clearly better than anyone in last year's class and Flagg was purely special. He's not as polished as Coward but he a clearly better scorer. His skill level is insane. Probably the highest I've seen for a true freshman since Trae Young and Kyrie. While I completely understand him going 1st overall. The upside of AJ is why everyone including me is taking AJ. AJ upside is simply ridiculous.

Peterson and AJ are close and archetype of their positions, Peterson is a guard therefore having more fluid motion and at this stage better shooter, Dybantsa is more springy/twitchy, start and stop, midrange or layup scorer. I think no.1 or 2 (or 3) will depend on the drafting team needs. I'm really excited for next year's draft.

I just thought that he looks/moves just like Kawhi. Crazy similarities

Is he injured or is this load management in meaningless November games? I keep setting the alarm to watch his games and he never does lol

Hard to say since he hasn't been playing. I watched him against UNC. Looks more like a combo guard to me rather than a pure pg.

So what’s up with him? Is he actually hurt or just sitting out?

there's no reason to rush back from a hammy in November. I'm sure he wants to make sure he's 100% so they can make a tournament run and he can be healthy for the pre-draft season. He'll be a PG in the NBA in the same vein as SGA and Cade imo.

Kansas is ranked #21 in the AP poll (#6 in the Big 12) and #19 in Massey Ratings (#6 in the Big 12). They are 6-3.

Peterson was the best player on the court tonight, but he got another injury.

His injuries will have to be a factor now in his draft stock. Because of Oden, injuries have to be a big part of your scouting.

Because of this, i'm moving Peterson down to #3 on my board. I could have him go down to #4 if Wilson, Flemings, Brown, and Ament keep continuing to impress scouts.

His injuries and personality are a concern. Very Kawhi like. I think he's sleep-walking through the college season and doesn't really want to be out there jeopardizing his future. Makes me worried he'll happily play the minimum amount of games to get awards and keep max contracts coming but doesn't really love the game. I had/have the same concerns with Simmons, Scoot and Harper that they're soft mentally or just not in love with the game like I feel they should be and it's no surprise to me that they've missed so much time already. NBA talent-wise I still have him #1 but I would understand if someone is turned off and would prefer one of the other guys

If you want to knock him for being hurt then that’s whatever but he’s wired completely different than Simmons. The kid was getting treatment 4 times a day to come back and play. Self is on record stating he’s never had a player in his career who puts more work in than Darryn. That’s not fair to the kid.
