You watch this game highlight from tonight and tell me this man isn't the #1 pick.

I never will understand how people were down on him. I understand that his archetype might limit the ceiling of your team or make you adjust the players around him if he is your starting Center... But the dude was clearly a Sabonis clone with more upside due to range and defensive instincts. The moment he fell out of the top 7 he became a steal.

I'm still crying that he was still available at #16 and Presti decided to trade that pick :banghead: :banghead:

he has got such fundamentals and basketball IQ that should make people here ignore the debates over 1 inch in his height and rather focus on his game.

I think Memphis skipping him was the most surprising, considering he can contribute from day 1 to a team with playoff aspirations and he fits perfectly next to JJJ so they could have groomed him as Adams' replacement

Spurs. Whatever you say about Primo's potential (which, IMO, is good, but not better than Sengun's top end), I figure he's at least 2 years from being a serious contributor at the NBA level.

Looks really good, I never even watched much tape on him with us picking at the top so I was shocked watching him last night.

That logo 3 was ridiculous

For some reason some people believed that he was 2-3 inches shorter than he actually is, and that the Turkish League is worse than NCAA, etc.

Some were claiming he was 6-7 or 6-8 in shoes, and he ended up being 6-11 in shoes. That's 3-4 inches of height, not 1 inch. Others were saying he was max size no bigger than Kevin Love (6-9 in shoes). That's still 2 inches, not 1.

Second time seeing him, second time being impressed. Simply knows how to play basketball, looks well beyond his years in what he's reading on the floor out there.

he's like a more polished, more natural basketball player Sabonis. I was scratching my head initially after they traded a future 1st but not any longer. They're rebuild could already be over. They're pretty stacked now with decent depth. Them and the Kings will be tough to keep out of the playoffs. I think DAL might be in serious trouble.

He was the perfect fit next to JJJ on a good, promising young team that is just starving for another star next to Morant. Huge whiff there.

I would have been super happy with the Pels taking him, even if the fit was unconventional.

yea, u can tell playing pro ball really developed him in ways you don't see here in the states for most guys his age. hella sophisticated inside in terms of his moves/footwork and ability to finish in many ways.

he'll struggle in space IMO in the NBA defensively and he's not a PF like many think, but offensively he's gonna be super fun to watch.

hes insanely good but i dont think primos a bust either. i thought he was a poor man's sabonis cant speak english but him as a rookie doesnt feel far off from prime sabonis and has even a logo 3.
pelicans are going to regret it.

SAS, NO, MEM, OKC. I think they are all very likely to deeply regret passing over him.

OKC could have a tremendously interesting F/C trio of Giddey/Poku/Sengun but punted. I defended it in the moment, but I was wrong.

Georgios Kalaitzakis............basketball forums are full of people saying he can't be more than 6-6 or 6-7, and that he was shorter than listed in Europe.......even on the NBA draft night, they said he was "6-6". NBA has him listed at 6-8.

HEIGHT

6'8" (2.03m)

This artificial false downgrading of the heights of European draft prospects, for no reason, is a real thing. Whether you believe it is or not.
