I haven't done a deep dive yet, but I see a great off ball shooter who makes good decisions and can apply ball pressure on defense.

I don't think he'll ever be an all star, but could realistically end being a Herro, VanVleet, or Coby White type contributor.

I like Jace better than a lot of players. He's not ball dominant dribbling the air out of the ball...

He reads/reacts faster than most players

High IQ and ball skills but I think he will engaged on D and doesn’t have the size or strength to defend.

I wouldn’t take him top 20. I could see him going as high as 8 though.

maybe to you. There are actual big men throughout that league he has to go up against. Guys with NBA size. The fact that he is his size and able to put the ball on the floor, has a variety of moves around the basket and is an elite passer sets him apart from other prospects. He also replicated this production at the U19 against future pros.

Gonna watch some of him later. Do you legit believe he has Sengun’s ball skills and passing? That’s tantalizing if so.

I think so but it'd be nice to see it confirmed at the NBA combine.

He's the annual draft community darling.

I see a 10 year role player that contributes to winning but ultimately bounces around the league.

Beringer feels like this year's "he's probably Bruno Caboclo, but what if he is Giannis" player.

I feel like thats pretty easily Noa Essengue.

Beringer reminds me of a euro Jaxton Hayes.

I agree re: the Hayes comp, that is immediately who I thought of too. RE: Essengue, I think his motor is so bad, I just don't see that. But it could just be I'm mistaking the lack of physical development for low motor. The skill is super interesting.

I don't see a low motor for Essengue. Can you provide an example or clip of what you are seeing?

Essengue has a very high motor, but a poor body language

I'd have to find the game footage and watch it again to find good examples, but I felt like in the Adidas Nextgen tournament even when he was scoring well that he was often out of position defensively or taking plays off (part of it was just that he also had a massive load, too). For Ulm I felt like it was even worse the two times I saw him this season. But it could be (a) lack of physical development (he is so young) and/or (b) role ("just stand in the corner" or having to shoulder such a huge load).

He'll be the Yves Missi or Adem Bona of the 2025 draft. To me it's low risk high reward. Beringer is very young, born in december 2006, he began basketball 4 years ago and improves by leaps and bounds. I doubt he'll ever be a great offensive player but I'm sure he'll be a force on defense, rebound and rim-running. His shotblocking is elite
I really want to know his measurements because he's listed 6"9 but he covers so much ground that he looks like a 6'11 tall player - with 7'5 wingspan.
If he develops shooting skills he could develop into a very good NBA player

Beringer is potentially more like Jarrett Allen, imo. He's showing those defensive flashes already as an 18 y.o. Another crude comp would be Willie Cauley-Stein, though that guy might've been a bit of a nutjob.

Also, Essengue doesn't have low motor. He has some physical and statistical comparison to a young Nic Batum.

Agreed on Noa.

Beringer would look good and be maxed on a pace team. Dude flies up and down the court and has a motor that never stops. He’s only been hooping for 4-5 years. Was a soccer goalie and says he plays D like it protecting the rim.

Yes. High motor. He glides out there much like Buzelis with their length.

It looks like they don’t play hard because they make it look so easy. They both play hard and hustle. Their IQ is so high on both ends it looks effortless.

I see Noa as Buz 2.0.

Yes to Beringer as Jarret Allen. That’s who I’ve been comparing him to on Bulls board. Allen’s offense was way more developed though. Don’t know that Beringer will ever have that much offense.

I think Beringer is superior to Missi. Much better athlete. Smoother in PNR defense.

Also think Penda will be an elite defender. His shot is doable but don’t ever see him more than average. Plays offense a lot like a young SloMo with a better shot.

Agreed. He looks 6’11 to me and has a giant wingspan. Looks to be 7’5ish. Kid is so young he could still grow a bit.

Crazy how fast of a jumper he is and how quick at changing directions.

Beringer declares and says he’s 6’11 barefoot.

That defense is elite.

I wonder if draft workouts get him near the lottery.

Several scouts have said his measurables will move him up but defense doesn’t flash in workouts and what does if offensive skills and he doesn’t have those.

I could see him going as early as 12. Will be surprised if he goes later than 25. Lively went 13.
