yeah that's what was most surprising for me from jump street. All I knew about the kid coming in was that he could put the ball in the cup. Handle could be tighter but its better than I expected and his vision and pace isn't too bad either. He's shown more patience at times than Thornton who I had high hopes for coming into this season.

Also pretty crazy that he's only 18 and won't be 19 until the beginning of the next NBA season if I recall

He seems to have a below-average first step and looks very slow moving with the ball in his hands. I don't think he can blow by anybody at the NBA level with that unimpressive speed and ball handling.
He's very crafty though, the way he spins and keeps his body between the ball and the defender when driving to the rim but, is that type of moves going to work at the NBA level?

The guy is starting to have a habit of vanishing when things are not going well.

Yeah i've noticed his below average first step also. I think he is going to struggle against faster quicker players in the nba.

I've noticed the entire team as a whole looks disinterested in the second half a few times this season. A lot of it has to do with building big lead and not doing the same things that they did to gain such a large lead in the first half. This last game foul trouble really hurt his activity level.

He played 34 minutes in the game and only missed 4 in the second half, it's not like he missed 10 or 12. 99% of players sit more than that on a nightly basis.
He didn't even look like scoring in the second half and that had nothing to do with fouls. Unless he is wide open taking jumpshots he isn't doing much on the offensive end.
Teams are focused on stopping Allen not Ingram.

Duke plays 6 guys since Amile Jefferson got hurt. Ingram was on to a very hot start to the game until fouls became an issue. Once Jeter fouled out they were down to just Ingram and Plumlee to play the 4 and 5. It completely took him out of the game, Duke stopped running PnR because they were called for either 3 or 4 illegal screens. If you think all he is doing is taking jumpshots than you havent been watching him for the past month. Just because he didnt sit because of his foul trouble doesnt mean it didnt took him out of the game. He had to be on the court because Duke had no one to sub for him. Fouls was the main reason his numbers died off completely the 2nd half
