My new rankings, in general for FEB

1. Anthony Edwards 6 floor, 9 ceiling tier 2.5
2. LaMelo Ball 6 floor, 9 ceiling tier 2.5
3. Obi Toppin 7.5 floor, 8.5 ceiling tier 2.5
4. Killan Hayes 7.5 floor, 8 ceiling tier 3
5. Onyeka Okongwu 7 floor, 8.5 ceiling tier 3
6. Haliburton 7 floor, 7.5 ceiling tier 3
7. Deni A. 6.5 floor, 8 ceiling tier 3
8. Wiseman 5.5 floor, 9 ceiling tier 3
9. Okoro 6 floor, 8.5 ceiling tier 3
10. Cole Anthony 6 floor, 8.5 ceiling tier 3

This is not anywhere near as good as last year. Tier 3 is much smaller than last year but tier 3 has a lot of PGs with upside so it's a good PG class for me.

I would strongly take Edwards or Ball if I was a team who didn't already have a young core in place.

Both are currently 6s but both are a 7 offensively and 5 defensively. With training, good health, development and a system built around them, these types usually take awhile me move from 5 defensively, maybe a season or more but they tend to go up a full two points on offense and some. Offensive 9s and defensive 5s even as a rookie is really freaking good. Most lottery teams lack an offensive player above 8. So if anyone is worth moving up for, its these two.

I would be more conscious of taking Edwards. Ball should be fine, you gotta to build around him but it will be worth it as playmaking and skill is the most critical thing a PG in today's NBA needs.

Biggest Sleeper: Tre Jones, I understand his draft range but he could be like Lowry or Mookie Blaylock down the road.

Most Overrated: Scottie Lewis, he could be a player down the road but I wouldn't take him in the 1st round. He needs an entire rookie contract to figure it all out.

Can anyone breakdown what defensive differences they see in some of the top perimeter wing defenders?

Okoro, Lewis, Vassell, any others?

What do y'all see as the pro's/con's of their defensive capabilities?

I can't go into too much detail at this time but I like Okoro the most because he reminds me of Torrey Craig defensively. He is an elite on and off-ball defender as a prospect elite at switches, strong with a tremendous frame 6'7 220ish. Can defend 1-3. Good enough wingspan at 6'8, freak athlete. Shows tremendous potential on that end, a special defender for a freshman.

Scottie Lewis defends a lot like a young Kobe Bryant to me. Great defensive playmaker. Tremendous athlete. More so an on the ball threat. Really keeps everything in front of him. Very long (6'10 ws). Probably the most talented defender in this class. He has been late a lot of rotations, could improve in that area for the NBA. Mid-tier versatility 1-2 only. Sadly, his offense ain't it but if you got an extremely strong player dev program and don't put too many ball-handling responsibilities on your wings, maybe he has a chance to be special down the road. MAMBA MENTALITY.

Vassell, he is very intriguing on tape but I don't really like taller wings who defend under 200 pounds. They tend to struggle with the quick and swifty guards, too weak to defend bigger wings, and while they can have success and good metrics, I find them to be matchup limited. That's not against Vassell directly but I have a hard time with these types. They fail so much.

I was one of the guys who was high on Morant last year when RealGM guys weren't so high on him. Morant is the greatest PG prospect I've ever seen in the last 10 years. That doesn't mean I think he will be the best PG in the NBA one day, not at all but I knew his floor and ceiling was very high for a PG. I had those who I was high on for one and not the other or vice versa. He was very high at both.
