The two Duke guys
AJ should declare tomorrow or Sunday (dont think anyone expects him to return)
I think many think Keels is still up in the air on what he's going to do.

A quick look over on CBS mock draft (one of the first ones that popped up for me), those are the only two they have going 1st round that haven't declared yet.

maybe I missed it but these guys I think also:

Moussa Diabate
Hunter Dickinson
Caleb Houstan
Christian Braun
Caleb Love
Orlando Robinson
Hunter Sallis
Nolan Hickman

assuming all these guys return at this point?

also some of the euro guys, haven't seen anything yet on Hukporti, Kamagate, Badji.

That sucks for Duke.. they only have Baker and Roach as their "Vets"

Also, Keels is a mid 2nd rounder for me. Does he really get to earn more compared to the NIL deals being thrown around?

This is the bed you make when you go all out for getting 4-5 top 30 recruits every year. Guys are either going to the league or transfer, very rare you get multiple guys to stick around.

I know many Duke fans are to the point where they would rather see Duke just go after one elite recruit, then load up on guys in the 30-60 range.

When it came to Keels I know many thought it was a toss up. But it was pretty well known Keels wanted nothing to do with the school aspect. So I think it just came down to he would rather take the risk of getting drafted in the 2nd and not getting the guarantee deal, then take the NIL money and be in "school" for another year.

Sorry for the ignorance, what is the NIL money? I've seen that term around but don't know what it means.

It basically means you can "PAY" college players "LEGALLY" by being a "SPONSOR" to said college player through their NAMES , IMAGE, LIKENESS and etc

Like say I am a rich alumni of ABC university and there is player X that is projected 2nd round which if signed, will net him for example 500k NET in 1 year. I offer 1m if he stays 1 more year in ABC university doing commercials for my car dealership, clothing company , burger joint, lemonade stand and etc etc. It would be legal. I mean Sharpe got a porsche ( i dunno if owned or leased ) while being a None and Done player in UK.

If you are X player, wouldn't you be tempted to stay 1 more year to develop your game and hopefully make it to the 1st round while at the same time earn MORE money than getting drafted in the 2nd round? Sure you can bet on yourself and blow up faster if you were in the league and earn that coveted 2nd contract faster.. and the chicks throwing themselves at you are probably hotter than the college coeds but..you know...

Yup. Oscar Tshiebwe is reportedly getting around 2 mil in NIL deals to come back to UK for another year. Paolo and Keels were driving luxury cars all year long at Duke.

It wont be enough to get lotto guys to return and not go to the draft. But it gives the lower end guys who might choose to go in the draft, a pretty nice financial incentive to stick around.

Haha AJ is declaring tomorrow. Even as a Duke fan I would say if AJ returned it would be a very dumb financial decision haha.

Wasn't it an old Cherokee Jeep that Paolo used in his DUI fiasco? Did he "level up" after it?

Haha Ya Paolo had a NIL deal with a custom car shop. They upped his Jeep, then he ended up driving nice custom luxury cars later in the season.

A lot of Spurs fans have been talking up his performance at the Hoop Summit. Got me wondering. He probably is going to stay in.

Well there goes my hope.. well I mean despite the season that he had and still getting talked about as a lotto pick, I too would declare. Personally with his performance I would take him somewhere from 12-20 not as a top-10 as most mocks have.
