I actually think he had some really nice flashes despite the overall rough game

he does have some appealing traits but it feels like a sucker bet - who in the nba has his body type with his playing style, those guys finish. most point guards are compact, thick for a reason. ...people are comparing him to westbrook, there isn't much comparison for the good beside the first quick step. I mean that statement has some truth too it, and it's scary.

Wesley was inefficient last game too - it's kind of who he is right now.

Meanwhile nobody talking about branham i'm feeling even more confident about that guy. That iso turnaround fadeaway tonight was high level stuff, he is gonna crush it in pops system coming off screens.

Pop needs to neuter the crap out of wesley. I hate that type of player - if he utilized his first quick step to pass first, be under control, maybe he has a shot, but he needs a good float game. And it's going to be tough to teach that chucker out of him because he is just gliding out there it's super easy for him to move and in his dna to do what he is doing.

Matt Ryan of the Celtics is an absolute punk. He's the bum who was talking ish to Curry during the finals. Dude needs to know his place.

Love that Orlando retired Paolo from Summer League. He definitely showed he was above this nonsense.

I think they were just rewarding him for playing well. He didn't really have anything left to prove.

Chet is gonna struggle this year against the big guys. He's just not ready for that kind of weight leaning against him every night. Hope he doesn't get turnt out.

He was limping pretty good after the last game and asked to see a trainer, probably just being precautionary

Interesting, from this article it sounds like they had seen enough from him and wanted to give their other guys some opportunities.

I worry about Giddeys inability to shoot and defend the perimeter at the next level.

Yeah, I think he will still be a good and useful player but until he completely rebuilds that jumper he has a hard ceiling. If he can't score well enough to justify putting the ball in his hands on a great team his passing becomes less valuable

it almost looks like it's physically painful for him when he shoots threes.

Its like the ball weights 45lbs and he is pushing it as hard as possible.

He is so good everywhere else, and even defensively he is better than most believe. But if he wants to go from unique super-role player to legit 3rd option he needs to really improve that shot.

But for a guy that looks like he is having labor pains from shooting, he sure is fun to watch still. Love the kids game, and think he can improve. His work ethic by all accounts is tremendous for his age, hell for any age.

He’s kind of like a young Rubio, but not as good on D.

i mean, if he turns into a legitimate shooting and scoring threat you're talking about an MVP at that point. he's that good of a playmaker. probably the best pure playmaker in the league right now after Cp3.

Josh with league average shooting is an All-Star - MVP may be taking it too far. But he would be a freakishly fun player to watch if he builds out his J.

Giddey and Rubio are both good passers, but the size difference is pretty huge. Josh can take contact and should be good at finishing / getting to the rim - Rubio wasnt ever that great in that regard.

A 6'8 Rubio is a consiterably better player than the 6'4 Rubio we have seen. Size matters a ton in this league.

Giddey is a gem tho, cant wait to see him and the OKC youngsters surprise the league this year.

True, I guess if Giddey was a better shooter he’d probably be similar to Lamelo, who was an All star this year. MVP I just don’t see either though.
