Sure does, but his stock has not really increased either way I'd fathom.

yeah not at all from the looks of it and this would be the class for that to happen.

I notice Ohio State are highly ranked, are undefeated and have beat some good teams by decent margins so far this season, I haven't really seen any of there games this year apart from highlights of the UNC game, any prospects to keep an eye on?

Wesson is a Jared Sullinger type of player where he could be alright in the right matchups, but I don't really trust those kinds of players to consistently stay in good shape at the next level once they've gotten paid (and even if they do, they run into the Kevin Love type of issues where slimming down enough to not be absolutely horrible when it comes to running the court or defending on the perimeter makes them less effective at interior scoring.

They've got a couple freshmen who are probably not one-and-dones but could be first-rounders down the line. DJ Carton is a slashing point guard and EJ Liddell is like a better version of PJ Tucker on defense but his shot is not there yet.

Sucks for Bassey I know he was coming back to try and increase his stock.

Always kept tabs on him since watching him in the Hoop Summit game. Should be a 2nd round steal for somebody.

Agreed. I've been saying this almost word-for-word to anyone who would listen. He's built like a coat hanger though and that worries me a little bit.

Liddell is ahead of where Tucker was at the same age, and it’s not like Tucker is some all-world defender in the first place. He's great for someone acquired off the scrap heap who doesn't make that much money, but in the scheme of things he's just a solid defender who can switch; if PJ Tucker couldn't shoot threes he wouldn't be a rotation player (hence the whole thing where he washed out of the NBA as a rookie and didn't come back until 6 years later when he could shoot threes). I don't think you put very much thought into your response at all - seems very dumb and knee-jerk.

Seems like this draft falls off a cliff after the top-4...or am I just underestimating Okongwu and Avdija?

This draft falls off a cliff starting at 1. Edwards has looked good the last 3 games, but Im not sure he looks like a great #1 pick. As a big time Cole Anthony fan, the dude has been horrible to start the year with averaging 19 points on a 48 TS% and more turnovers than assists, and is still viewed as a lock for a top 5 pick. Just shows that no one has yet to really step up to start this college season. Or LaMelo Ball putting up 17/7/7 on 46 TS% is being viewed as a top 2 maybe #1 pick.

We are looking at a weak draft so far. Still plenty of time for guys to turn it around and make this draft look more appealing, but at the moment, this aint the draft to have a top 5 pick. I wont be shocked if this turns out to be a 2013 kind of draft.

Haha yup. Im looking at ESPNs latest mock draft (came out on the 8th), this is the top 10:

1. LaMelo
2. Edwards
3. Wiseman
4. Cole
5. RJ
6. Deni Avdija
7. Nico
8. Maxey
9. McDaniels
10. Haliburton

I mean that is rough haha. I love me some Nico, but 7th overall? Maxey 8th? They got Josh Green at 16th and Scottie Lewis at 19th. Lewis has been beyond rough on offense this year, but damn Id feel a lot happier coming out of that draft with Josh Green at 16th or Lewis at 19th than pretty much any of these guys on where their listed right now.

Ya give me the really raw athletic wings mid 1st and Im fine with taking my chances with them this draft.

+1000

if I'm the Dubs GM and I'm picking top5, first thing I'm looking at is trade down opportunities. Lewis/Green in the middle of the first is infinitely better value.

Ya this just has 2011 or 2013 draft written all over it. Best 2 players in each of those drafts both came outside of the lotto. I feel like its a good chance the 2 out of the 3 best guys out of this draft end up coming from out of the lotto (depends how it all shakes out on draft night of course).

Ya if Im GS, the 1st thing Im doing with that pick is trying to pair it with DLO to try and get a top 15-20 player to pair up with the original core for 1 more run. If a player like that isn't available, Im looking to trade down to draft one of the raw athletic wings and hopefully get another pick or 2 in the upcoming drafts (which look much better at the moment).

Yeah - I was going to include him since he's obviously #11 but I didn't to lead to conversation...

I don’t know why, I feel so uncomfortable with LaMelo at the top. First I wonder about his body, if it’ll be similar to Lonzo’s, I wonder about his jumper and I worry about who he is as a person. Having watched him almost all of his high school career I have some serious doubts. But people grow and change, specifically kids. And I’m sure hes gone through a lot with that rollercoaster of family drama. Plus one of his best friends had heart surgery. And he left the US to play overseas as a kid. I wonder if those life experiences made him a better player. He’s a really good player right now, I’m just uneasy putting him up there.
